God: ‘Tell Me Strange Things about Jehovah’

God: ‘Tell Me Strange Things about Jehovah’

God is more than the alphabets. There are diverse schools of thought about the subject, God; in theism, God is creator and controller of the world. In Pantheism, God is the universe, while in deism; God is the creator of the universe, but not the upholder. In atheism, God does not exit, while in agnosticism, God is unknown.

In today’s message, I will tell you more about God without exaggeration. The LORD wants His children to know more about His greatness. For instance, He revealed Himself to Enoch, Abraham, Moses and the Prophets. I am also a partaker in the special grace to see God, through some powerful visions He revealed to me.

Who is God?

The LORD is the First Being to exist. “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” (Revelation 1:8)

Isaiah chapter 44 verse 6 says: “Thus says the LORD, the King of Israel, and his Redeemer, the LORD of hosts: ‘I am the First and I am the Last; Besides Me there is no God.”

We are curious to know the beginning of God, but He said that He is the Beginning and the End. How the LORD became the Beginning is a secret known to Him alone. And I suggest you respect God’s privacy.

Any attempt of your mortal brain to search for the secret code of the immortal Being would make you run mad (that is, brain explosion). Thus, the atheists are suffering from brain explosion!

Everyone has the right to keep privacy, so do not embarrass God if He did not share His privacy with you. For instance, no matter how close you are to the Coca-Cola family, they would never expose the trade secret of their invention to you.

So, the Creator has some secrets best known to Him. Isaiah chapter 40 verses 28 say: “Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the LORD, The Creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable.”

God is the First; Creator of all creations, Almighty and the source of Power and Wisdom.

What is the Real Name of God?

There are many names attributed to the LORD, but He announced His powerful names to Moses: “Then Moses said to God, “Indeed, when I come to the children of Israel and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they say to me, ‘What is His name?’ what shall I say to them?

And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.”’ (Exodus 3:13-14).

“And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.” (Exodus 6:3 KJV)

How does the LORD look like?

No adjective is enough to describe the real beauty and greatness of the LORD.

1. The LORD is attractive: He has a beautiful and perfect look. There is no blemish on Him. We have the same image of God; the head, face, hands, legs, feet…

“Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness… So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” (Genesis 1:26-27)

2. The size: No one on earth, under the earth or in heaven has the same size as the LORD. God is huge with an awesome height. The size of human being beside the Supreme Being is like a grain of sand.

Thus says the LORD: “Heaven is My throne, And earth is My footstool…” (Isaiah 66:1)

3. The voice: The voice of Jehovah is not He has a gentle voice, a thunderous voice…

In a vision, the LORD spoke to me with a gentle voice; He instructed me to open the Bible to Galatians 6:15-16. I read it (“For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but a new creation. And as many as walk according to this rule, peace and mercy be upon them and upon the Israel of God.”).

Then, He said to me: “In addition, preach to the world that only those practicing the rule of holiness I will take to Heaven.”

In another vision, the voice of God was thunderous, harsh and filled with anger. He said: “The people I created had chosen their own ways and they forsook Me. They do evil and step on My toes…. Go and preach to them to change their evil ways because My Judgment is hot…” Read Isaiah 13:2-13 for more details.

4. Age: Jehovah is not an old person. He is not a man who grows old. He is ageless. God is referred to as Ancient of Days in Daniel chapter 7 verse 9: “I watched till thrones were put in place, and the Ancient of Days was seated; His garment was white as snow, and the hair of His head was like pure wool. His throne was a fiery flame, its wheels a burning fire.”

This platform is not enough to describe everything about God. But, you can also know more about God by inviting Him into your life. Those that die when they see God are the sinners.

If you make yourself sacred in Jesus Christ by repenting from sins, and obeying the instruction of Jesus Christ, then you will see and hear from God.

Did you wonder if my statement above is true? Alright, listen to this response from Jesus: “Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.”

God is Awesome, He is Great and Powerful. No one is above the unbeatable Jehovah. He is the only Superior King. The devil (one of His creatures) tried Him, but at the end of the day the devil burnt his fingers.

Please, love the LORD with all your heart, forsake worldliness and obey the Word of Jehovah.

Power of the Tongue and How to tame it!

Power of the Tongue and How to tame it!

Length of your tongue is not up to your height, but it is a strong ‘tool’ that can either preserve or destroy the body. The tongue must be treated with respect, because it is the only organ for the spoken words.

A study led by Dr. Matthias Mehl, shows that on average, women speak 16,215 words per day and men speak 15,669 words per day. That means a person can speak an average of 5.7 million words in a year. Can you analyze the significance of this volume?

I heard a story about a woman who invited her friends for supper. She went to the cold store to buy chicken. The butcher brought the last chicken in the freezer and weighed it. He said: “Two pounds”.

The woman responded: “Please I want a bigger one”. The butcher did not want to lose the customer. So, he returned the chicken into the freezer and brought the same chicken out again – and he said: “Three pounds”.

The woman was glad; “Good, I’ll pay for both chicken”. The butcher shivered and had a problem at that moment. His tongue put his name in the book of dishonesty.

Today’s message will give you an insight on the significance of the tongue and how to tame it.

7 Powerful things your Tongue can do!

1. The tongue can heal

Scriptures says that let the weak say, “I am strong”… So, the word of faith through your tongue can heal you and your neighbor. Proverbs chapter 12 verse 18 says: “There is one who speaks like the piercings of a sword, but the tongue of the wise promotes health.”

2. It can crush the spirit

Wrong use of the tongue can invoke depression into ones spirit. Proverbs chapter 15 verse 4 says: “A wholesome tongue is a tree of life, but perverseness in it breaks the spirit.”

3. Tongue has the power of life and death

Proverbs chapter 18 verse 21 says: “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.”

4. It can defile you

The kind of food and water that pass through your tongue to the stomach cannot make you a sinner. But, the dirty words you rolled out of your tongue are enough to wipe your name from the Book of Life.

Matthew chapter 15 verses 11 say: “Not what goes into the mouth defiles a man; but what comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man.”

5. The tongue can shed blood

The tongue is sharper than the sword of Goliath, and its bullets are hotter than AK 47 rifle. You will agree with me that all forms of blood bath start with the tongue, through threat and rumors of war.

Proverbs chapter 12 verse 6 and 7: “The words of the wicked are, “Lie in wait for blood,” but the mouth of the upright will deliver them. The wicked are overthrown and are no more, but the house of the righteous will stand.”

6. Your tongue has ability to break home

A lot of broken homes were as a result of harsh words and destructive argument from the tongue.

Proverbs chapter 15 verse 1 and 2 says: “A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. The tongue of the wise uses knowledge rightly, but the mouth of fools pours forth foolishness.”

7. It can set you ablaze

Don’t be careless with your tongue. It sets the wrong users on fire! Apostle James described the carnal tongue this way: “And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity.

The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell.” (James 3:6)

7 Ways to Tame the Tongue

Apostle James said that no one can tame the tongue (James 3:8). That’s true! But, it has to be tamed. So, who can do this for you?

The only Solution Provider is the Holy Spirit. When the Spirit of God takes charge of everything about your life, then it becomes easy to tame your tongue through the following ways:

1. Put your tongue in Prayers

It is essential you pray every morning before jumping out of the bed. Ask the Lord to take charge of your tongue. Psalm chapter 141 verse 3 says: “Set a guard, O LORD, over my mouth; Keep watch over the door of my lips.”

2. Have a Graceful heart

Scriptures says that from abundant of the heart the mouth speaks. Always fill your heart with the word of the Lord. The word of Jesus softens the heart and every word that rolls through the tongue will be helpful to the listeners. Colossians chapter 4 verses 6: “Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.”

3. Don’t be a Talkative

Study your audience and don’t be greedy to be the major speaker. I fell into this trap, but I thank God for delivering me. Too much talk can lead to exaggeration (lies).

Proverbs chapter 10 verses 19 say: “In the multitude of words sin is not lacking, but he who restrains his lips is wise.”

4. Train your Emotion to Even-temper

This would save your tongue from setting you ablaze. Our tongues execute the emotions in us, so it is safer to be even-temper.

Your anger must not influence your tongue to abuse, and the joy of your achievement must not make your tongue to blaspheme the superiority of the Lord.

Proverbs chapter 17 verse 27 to 28: “He who has knowledge spares his words, And a man of understanding is of a calm spirit. Even a fool is counted wise when he holds his peace; when he shuts his lips, he is considered perceptive.”

5. Weigh your Response

It is wise to rehearse your speech in your heart before sending your tongue an errand; it prevents chaos and embarrassment. Proverbs chapter 15 verse 28: “A wrathful man stirs up strife, But he who is slow to anger allays contention.”

6. Slow to Speak

So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.” James 1:19

7. Customize your Tongue

Re-brand your tongue to suit the acceptance of the Holy Spirit. Thus, keep a tight rein on your tongue. Don’t speak if the Spirit of the Lord did not speak.

The tongue is a powerful ‘tool’ that can either bless or curse the beholder. So, do not joke with your tongue, but tame it through the help of the Holy Spirit.

Spiritual Adultery; Attractive Bait in the Church!

Spiritual Adultery; Attractive Bait in the Church!

Spiritual adultery occurs when a Christian falls in love with things of the world. I remembered when I was in a courtship with my wife; we deliberated on how to sustain a lifetime partnership.

One day, I solemnly made a vow to her that I won’t cheat her, and I would be faithful to her in all circumstances of life. She repeated the vow, but I interrupted her with a mind filled with jealous and I said: “Uh! I will use a machete to cut off the head of any man trying to take you away from me.”

I was jealous and determined to protect her from any man who might want to win her heart…

I studied the Bible today and discovered that my love story is similar to God’s attitude to the Christians. I will share the insight of spiritual adultery I got from the Lord with you:

What is special about Spiritual Adultery?

Jesus said that for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. (John chapter 3 verses 16). This implies that the LORD is ready to be the Husband of anyone that loves Him in reciprocal.

Then Jesus told us that the only way to enjoy a true relationship with the LORD is to love Him with all our heart, with all our soul, and with our entire mind. (Matthew 22:37)

So, when your love mingles with the love of God, then you are bound to God. Your relationship with the LORD is like Husband and wife. And, the people around you who noticed your agape love through your holy lifestyle would refer to you as a child of God (Christian).

Thus, spiritual adultery sets in when a Christian did not divorce the LORD, but engages in idolatry affairs with things of this world (Devil’s vices).

First John chapter 2 verse 15 and 16 says: “Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world–the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life–is not of the Father but is of the world.”

Spiritual adultery is a metaphoric expression for unfaithfulness to the LORD. An instance written in the book of Ezekiel chapter 23 verse 36 and 37: “The LORD also said to me: “Son of man, will you judge Oholah and Oholibah? Then declare to them their abominations. For they have committed adultery, and blood is on their hands. They have committed adultery with their idols, and even sacrificed their sons whom they bore to Me, passing them through the fire, to devour them.”

Are you faithful to the LORD in everything you do?

The Idols that Spark Spiritual Adultery

The main channel for spiritual adultery is through idolatry. What is idolatry? Idolatry in this context is the devotion of ones love and strength to things that are not approved by the LORD. Whatever you love to do more than God’s regard is an idol.

Jesus says: “He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.” (Matthew 10:37-39)

The list of idols is not limited to the following:

1. Love of earthly wealth (money, properties, fame …)

2. Entertainment (casino, movies, parties …)

3. Materialism (use of rotary cross, soap, oil, mediums … during prayers)

4. Statue or Pictures in the church (Statue of Mary or ‘picture of Jesus’ is an idol)

5. Undue respect and unwarranted worship of men (Pope and Pastors are called Fathers/Daddy).

Jesus never accepted such glory rather He warned us sternly about it. “But you do not be called ‘Rabbi’; for One is your Teacher, the Christ, and you are all brethren. Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven…” (Matthew chapter 23)

Why is God so Jealous when I commit spiritual adultery?

Spiritual adultery can be described as stepping on God’s toes! He is a Jealous God, because He does not want anyone or anything to take His love from your heart. He won’t take it lightly with anyone that cheats on Him.

He says: “you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God…” (Deuteronomy 5:9)
I have a question for you; “Would you take it easy if you heard about your partner’s unfaithfulness in marriage? Did I hear you say: No! God forbid.”

Then, you can imagine how bitter the LORD would be when a Christian shares his or her love with things of this world. Don’t be deceived by those false preachers, the LORD will divorce and cast Christians that engage in spiritual adultery to lake of fire.

The Lord says: “So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth…” (Revelation 3:15-22)

Spiritual Adultery in the Church

It is unfortunate that majority of the church in this generation compromised God’s standard every day. The world does not copy the style of the church anymore, but, many churches imitate the worldly styles of fashion, music, worship … everything! My heart breaks …

When I asked some church leaders the reason for this spiritual adultery in the church, they gave me a common response: “We copy the worldly styles with the motive of attracting people in the world to join the church.”

I felt awful, because it contradicts the warning in Romans chapter 12 verse 1 and 2: “…And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”

The church leaders and evangelists of this generation must return to the first love in Christ. Let us follow the instructions of Jesus Christ as regards evangelism to the worldly people.

How can a worldly style convert sinners to saints? Is it possible to use a corrupt instrument to produce an incorruptible output? Please, I want Pastors and Evangelists to respond to this question.

The Christendom had mingled with the world and the output gives a high rate of abomination in the church and the society.

How to Avoid Spiritual Adultery

1. Don’t be carried away by the attractive things of this world. Imitate Jesus.

2. Don’t live to satisfy anyone except the LORD.

3. Read the Bible daily with an open heart and Obey the godly instructions.

4. Disobey all doctrines or rules that contradict God’s instructions.

5. Your liberty in Jesus Christ must not be misconstrued.

6. Spend your free time in God’s presence always.

7. Don’t be unfaithful in times of trouble, but endure.

8. Always meditate on the Word of the LORD.

9. Give your body, soul and spirit to the LORD every day.

10. Accept God’s discipline and hate sin!

Spiritual adultery is one of the vices of the devil, and we must not be ignorant of it. God is not happy with the high rate of immorality in our midst. So, everyone must be sensitive to this end-time falls. Will you allow spiritual adultery to take Heaven away from you?

Righteousness: What does it mean to be Righteous?

Righteousness: What does it mean to be Righteous?

I was studying the scriptures to understand the process involved in having a mansion in Heaven and I stumbled upon this statement made by Jesus: “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness…” (Matthew 6:33). I changed my course of study to know the virtue of righteousness, and I would like to share my findings with you today.

The story of Albina during the war shows that the act of righteousness is more than a theoretical essay;

“Albina and Dennis Przybyszewski lived in Stydyn, a small Polish town. When the Nazis began to take away the Jews, Albina and her husband took several young Jews into their home to save them. In May 1943, a young Jewish man, his wife and her sister were hidden in their home.

The sister, Ita, had gone to another village when the Ukrainians under German command attacked the house. The young couple was killed and Dennis Przbyszewski was taking away and later killed. Albina ran to another village.

Ita went to another place. But they met again after two months in Sarny when they were being deported to labor camps in Germany. Ita was with another young Jewish girl, Batia. During the processing for departure the officials called out the name Przbyszewski, the people who stepped forward were Albina, her mother, Albina’s two young daughters, Ita and Batia.

During their entire stay in Germany, they lived together as one family and endured many terrific incidents until the end of the war.”

What is Righteousness?

It is God’s character related to perfection and holy justification in all issues of life.

Does God want us to be Righteous?

Yes!! The following verses speak the voice of God:

1.Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.” (Matthew 5:6)

2. “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5:10)

3. “For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5:20)

How Can I Become Righteous?

The righteousness from human doctrine is a filthy rag which is also called self-righteousness.

The best way to become righteous is to forsake human doctrines (including all false church doctrines) and to obey all the teachings of the Lord faithfully. You cannot fulfill the righteousness of the Lord without the presence of the Holy Spirit in your heart.

John chapter 16 verses 8 say: “And when He (the Holy Spirit) has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment.”

Is it Possible to be Righteous?

It is a pity that majority of the preachers in our generation have watered down the teachings of righteousness through misconception of the scriptures. Some of their misleading statements include:

1. “Only God can be righteous…

2. “It is not possible for the earthly body to obey righteousness, so recite Psalm 51 always.”

3. “You are under the grace and not under any law (of Jesus), so the grace will take care of your incessant unrighteousness.”

4. “Just become a Christian, your character does not matter because Jesus’ righteousness will take care of you…”

If righteousness is an impossible virtue for us, then the Lord will not instruct us to seek for His righteousness.

The golden rules

1. Understand the personality of the LORD by reading the Bible from Genesis to Revelation.

2. Believe the Power of the Lord and Love Him.

Romans chapter 1 verse 17 says: “For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”

3. Allow God to control everything about you (this is the most difficult task for human!)

4. Obey the voice of the Holy Spirit in every decision of life.

Romans chapter 6 verse 16 say: “Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness?”

The practice of these four steps makes you righteous in the Lord without your strength or power. It is impossible to boast of God’s righteousness, because it has to do with one’s daily submission to the Lord’s will.

I am not surprised that many pulpits don’t preach righteousness anymore. The church had mingled with the world. This sad scenario answers the questions of our Lord Jesus Christ recorded in the book of Luke chapter 18 verses 8: “…Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?”

There is no shortcut to heaven, so, your righteous lifestyle is paramount. Prayer is not enough to yield righteousness, but you will enjoy the righteousness of the Lord through obedience to His ordinance.

Christian Children: 13 Ways to Raise Godly Children

Christian Children: 13 Ways to Raise Godly Children

Christian children are God’s Army for the next generation. How much training have you given to your children? How ready are the children in the church today?

I noticed that the moral attitude of children in many places across the world is bad. And there is less improvement in the lives of so many Christian children. This scary development breaks my heart, and I would like to share some vital points with Christian parents on this platform today.

To raise godly children is a great challenge. Training a child involves the process of repetition, encouragement, and reinforcement.

The Act of Training Christian Children

It is not all about writing a long list of instructions to your children, but the godly transformation starts with you (the parents).

1. You must live an exemplary godly life.

Deuteronomy chapter 6 verse 5 to 7 says: “You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength… You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.”

2. Teach your children boundaries, and give them the liberty within those boundaries. That teaches independence, but also self-control and respect for authority.

3. Guide them to know how to read the Bible from their toddler age. The best guide for training Christian children for good character and godly lifestyle are loaded in the Bible.

Second Timothy chapter 3 verses 16 to 17 says: “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

4. Don’t irritate your children. Your decisions should be fair. Colossians chapter 3 verse 21 says: “Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged.”

5. Idle threats is toxic, for instance: “If you shout again, I will break your …”

6. Spend quality time with your children. It is an avenue for them to tell you all the deceits, confusing statements and seductive approaches they were exposed to during the day’s activities.

7. Be firm as a parent. Don’t bend God’s commandments. Enforce it consistently.

It helps your Christian children to become good ambassadors in the society.

8. Beat your children when necessary.

Proverbs chapter 23 verse 13 to 14: “Do not withhold correction from a child, for if you beat him with a rod, he will not die. You shall beat him with a rod, and deliver his soul from hell.”

9. Correct their mistakes with love and not through public embarrassment.

10. It is not wise to publicly compare the abilities of one child to another.

11. Teach your children the power of music and how to engage in inspirational /worship songs all the time.

12. Jokes and all forms of worldly entertainment should be disallowed. Ephesians chapter 5 verses 1 to 11: “Therefore be imitators of God as dear children… neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks…”

13. Family Altar is essential; engage your children in singing and prayers to the Lord during family devotion.

Raise your Christian children in the way of the Lord and you will make the next generation to know more about Jesus. Train your children to be godly and the abominations in the land will reduce.
