God’s Will: 10 Ways to Know the LORD’s Plan for You

God’s Will: 10 Ways to Know the LORD’s Plan for You

Are you bothered about God’s will for your life? How can you know His plans for your success? Enough of this confusion you always go through!

God’s will for you is designed before your birth. So, God has no mistake to make about your life, but living contrary to the LORD’s plan might be frustrating or risky.

Today’s message will guide you on steps to take to know the secret plans of God for your life.

10 Practical Steps to Discover God’s Will for You

Please I want you to know that God’s plans for you do not always fall into the same template you always want. And don’t be carried away by preachers who told you that all about your life is rosy! The following steps will help you to know that God is neither wicked nor deaf;

1. Live a Patient life

No matter how strong your relationship with the LORD…you may quote all the Bible verses by heart…you may invest all your wealth for the Gospel…but if you are impatient then you can’t know God’s will. Don’t blame Him for your disappointment! (James 1:4)

2. Leave your Plan on God’s Table

You cannot understand God’s plan if you always expect Him to approve your own plans. It is good to be hardworking, but get God’s consent before investing your strength and cash!

3. Obey His Instructions

If you obey God’s commandments as instructed by Jesus, He would be pleased to reveal His secret plans to you. Don’t live a careless life and claim you are under His grace! (John 14:21)

4. Stabilise your Relationship with the LORD

Lukewarm Christians and faithless people can never understand God’s will. No matter the circumstances, love God with all your heart, worship and pray to Him all the time.

5. Don’t Compare Your Life with Others

The Israelite compared their lives with the Egyptians without respect to the LORD and it backfired. (Numbers chapter 11)

6. Pay Attention to your Spiritual Gift

The LORD has a way of speaking to you either through dreams, visions, word of wisdom, knowledge or any other unique means. HE won’t put you in the dark if the decision you intend to take is against God’s will. (First Peter 4:10)

7. Pray and Listen to the Holy Spirit

Don’t pray when you had made up your mind on a decision because your thoughtful voice may suppress the voice of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit of the LORD will counsel you if you do not impose your will on the LORD. (John 14:26)

8. Reverse Repeated Negative Outcomes

God is Sovereign. If you attempt to achieve a brilliant goal and it always comes out negative when many people get positive result, then watch out! It’s not necessarily devil’s work, it might be God discouraging you since it is not His will for you. It is imminent to go through unwanted circumstances in life but it must not be monotonous.

9. Trust GOD and not the System

You cannot know God’s will for your life if your trust is in man, the government, stock market, social institutions, technology and the likes. Let God be the First in everything you want to do. HE would screen your intentions to suit His will for you!

10. Live Righteously

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” (Matthew 6: 33-34)

Patience with God? My Time is Running Out, I Need Help!

Patience with God? My Time is Running Out, I Need Help!

Your ability to endure God’s ‘delay’ in answering your prayers without abusing HIM is referred to as patience with God. Maybe you’ve been patient for so many years going through terrible problems, praying and fasting without blasphemy and it seems nothing good is happening. I respect your courage!

You have the right to ask questions such as: Why me? For how long will I stay in this mess despite my patience with God? When will you intervene in my life oh LORD?

Don’t worry, the LORD is neither deaf nor blind. The main issue is that your timing is absolutely different from the LORD’s timing.

Today’s message is for the children of God who knew the plans of God for their lives but not getting results as expected.

The Power of Patience is Mighty for Breakthrough

Children of God may have diverse experience on their way to great achievement on earth, but a common virtue to all of them is the power of patience in their lives.

Are you going through unwanted situation in life and you feel like turning away from the LORD after memorising and claiming the promises of God in the Bible? No! don’t do such. Your patience with God is the only way that can lead you into the breakthrough you desired.

Many years ago, I was too speedy and couldn’t maintain patience anymore. The LORD said that HE would make me rich, but at the moment of my impatience I was one of the poor on the street.

I refused to hear from the LORD and I chose my way. I was linked to friends who told me how their business yield millions in few months… the concluding part of the story was that all the investment ran into deep red loss. And, I was not returned to status quo rather I was dipped into heavy debt.

The LORD had mercy on me despite my impatience; many terrible things happened to me very fast… Creditors threatened to expose me to public shame and to call the police to arrest me… I thought of suicide as the only way to avoid the mess my impatience led me into.

Few minutes to the suicidal act, I heard the voice of the Holy Spirit whom I refused to obey in the beginning, HIS counsel comfort me. And the LORD made a way where there was no way! HE pulled me out of the mess.

At this moment I share my experience with you (and by the grace of the LORD) millions flow through my bank accounts and I give it back to HIM.

The LORD will fulfil His promises in your life at the right time, so make your patience with God to be consistent.

Why You Should Be Patient with the LORD

It is not an interesting experience when someone who trust God so much is getting little or no result. That doesn’t mean God is wicked or disabled.

HE would give you all you desired at the best time if you are patient. I learnt so much from the experience of the following people:

1. Samson was too impatient and refused to marry from his tribe, so he fell into the hands of the Philistines through Delilah. He could not make a greater height as expected. (Judges chapter 16)

2. Judas Iscariot could not exercise patience with God, he wanted a fast way to become rich and the 30 pieces of silver sent him to gallows. (Matthew 26:15)

3. King Saul was too impatient to conquer the war and his kingdom was pulled down very fast because he disobeyed God’s commandment related to special sacrifices. (First Samuel chapter 13)

The Profit of Patience with God

1. Restoration

Only Joseph knew the cost of his patience in the prison before he became the Prime Minister.

He would have thought God is wicked and plan a jail break, but he didn’t. His suggestion changed his status to become the second-in-command of the Egyptian government.

You might be going through a tough time like a ‘slave’, don’t give up because your faithful patience would lead to your breakthrough. (Genesis chapter 41)

2. Fruitfulness

Despite the shame and insult from people around Hannah, she neither run away from the Lord nor chose to become an Atheist. She looked forward for annual sacrifices to the LORD, prayed and patiently waited onto the LORD.

Only Hannah could tell us her cost of patience, but it’s not a cheap pie…. (First Samuel chapter 1)

You were insulted by people around you and you want to throw in the tower? No! don’t turn away from godliness.

3. Freedom from slavery

400 years of patience with God by the Israelite is not the type anyone prayed for, but we can’t blame God because He knows the best time for us. (Exodus chapter 12)

Don’t worry, HE hears your cry and HE would grant your request when no Pharaoh can hinder your breakthrough.

4. Your Star would Shine

The patience of David towards the throne was golden! Many attempts to assassinate him, he lived a fearful and unpleasant life for many years, living in the bush and on the rock, too many wars to conquer.

He did not underestimate God, but painfully trust in the Lord’s best time.

Are you going through tough time as if your prayers go unanswered? You sow seeds and your harvest time looks extremely delayed! Don’t give up because your pains would go away after you patiently wait to receive your crown like David.

Patience with God is profitable. You would have no cause to regret. Just endure for a while and your Joy would come in Jesus name.

Spiritual Breakthrough: 7 Keys that Open the Golden Door!

Spiritual Breakthrough: 7 Keys that Open the Golden Door!

Spiritual breakthrough involves gaining freedom over a reoccurring evil attack, getting saved, hearing from God or testimonies to a resolved challenge.

Are you going through an unwanted situation that looks endless in your life? Do you always go through conditions that steal your joy? How difficult is your achievement in life? Don’t worry anymore! I have good news for you, today’s message explains the steps to take for a successful spiritual breakthrough.

7 Powerful Steps to Achieve Spiritual Breakthrough

1. Learn to Always Forgive

I learnt it in a bitter way that if I don’t forgive myself and those who sin against me, then it becomes impossible for me to achieve a breakthrough.

If you allow unforgivable spirit in you, then it has the power to withhold your blessings and your spiritual breakthrough.

“For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.” (Matthew 6:14-15)

2. Activate Stable Repentance

It is proven that spiritual blessing gets delayed when there is a ‘small sin’ in one’s life. The sin you enjoy so much and you don’t want to part away with is enough to be a big stumbling stone stopping your spiritual breakthrough.

“For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.” (Hebrew 6:4-6)

3. Acquire Accurate Faith

A heart full of bias reduces the speed of blessings like that of the old man with a son suffering from epilepsy. The fastest way to acquire accurate faith is to read many stories of GOD’s actions recorded in the Bible. Don’t share your faith among GOD, human beings, earthly things and gods.

“So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.” (Matthew 17:20)

4. Pray without Complaint

Now that you have acquired accurate faith, you can go ahead to pray to the LORD and your spiritual breakthrough is certain. Imitate the prayer style of Jesus and not the method of the hypocrite.

“If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so, you will be My disciples.” (JOHN 15:7-8)

5. Make Fasting an Additive

If your spiritual breakthrough didn’t arrive at this stage then you need to fast. Jesus told His disciples that some spiritual breakthrough requires prayers and fasting (Mark 9:14-26).

Everyone who fast in the Bible does not go fishing or hunting. Preserve yourself in a secluded place while you pray and fast (to avoid ‘hunger strike’).

6. Secure Your Mind

After prayers and fasting, it is important you secure your heart with the promising word of Jesus Christ in the Bible.

So, read the Bible always and the LORD would tell you the direction to follow towards your spiritual breakthrough. I practised this step and it works great miracles for me.

7. Pull Patience and not Anxiety

Many children of GOD missed their spiritual blessings because they were impatient. They forgot that God’s time is different from theirs, and GOD knows the best time for everyone. Don’t be too speedy to achieve greatness, else you’ll fall into the trap of the Devil who would lure you into his deceitful ‘blessings’.

Listen to Apostle James: “But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.” (James 1:4)

Spiritual breakthrough is certain if you live a faithful life every day. Believe Jehovah as the only source of Divine Power and Authority. Don’t compare your life with others because the LORD knows the best time for you. If you serve the LORD diligently, HE won’t cheat you but would reward you with great spiritual blessings.

Can Soul-winning Help Me Speed Up My Harvest Time?

Can Soul-winning Help Me Speed Up My Harvest Time?

Soul-winning for the LORD refers to evangelism. But there is a new teaching now that if I want an express harvest, I should sow seeds to soul-winning. John chapter 4 verse 35 was the reference.

Is it true that my blessings (wealth, achievement in business/job, happy home etc.) would get to me faster if I give my money for soul-winning?

Today’s message would answer the question above and explain the difference between physical and spiritual harvesting.

Physical and Spiritual Harvest

I studied John chapter 4 in context and content and the earlier verses of was about soul-winning exercise of Jesus Christ to the Samaritan woman. The woman went into the city to continue the spread of the Gospel and the crowd were ready (ripe) to accept Jesus as their saviour.

So, when the event got to the stage of John chapter 4 verse 35, Jesus says: “Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!”

The content of the passage is the (ready-to-accept-salvation) crowd approaching Jesus and the context of verse 35 is clear:

The first part of verse 35 was about the physical harvesting (Human gains) while the second part was about the spiritual harvesting (LORD’S gains).

…. lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest…. Jesus told His disciples to lift their eyes and see the ripe Samaritans approaching Him for salvation.

The planting and harvesting for soul-winning are very fast and the only earner in this harvest is GOD. Yes, there are rewards for the givers but they are not partaker of the harvest. (Because givers for soul-winning are labourers, they shall be paid by the LORD)

The events recorded in John chapter 4 was plainly ministering (seed) to people and they gave their lives to the LORD (harvesting).

Example of Soul-winning investment

For more clarity, let me give an example: “If I invest 100k into evangelism today and the funds was put into use at a village which influence 40 people and 10 souls gave their lives to God the same day. Follow up was done after two weeks and additional 20 souls became born again…”

The field Jesus is referring to in my example is the 40 people.

The seed here is the ministration of the Good News to the 40 people including the help rendered.

The ‘already white for harvest’ Jesus refers to in my example is the 30 souls who surrendered their lives to Jesus.

Note: All events in John chapter 4 does not capture my own part as the investor of 100k for evangelism. Yes, the 100k is a seed and must have harvest too which was recorded in Matthew chapter 6 verse 19 to 21:

“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

The Ministry of Jesus had many sponsors, in fact the evangelism that took place in John chapter 4 was well funded because the disciples went to buy food so that all of them can have strength to continue ministration…but Jesus didn’t mention that the harvest was for the sponsors.

The harvest in John chapter 4 (both content and context) is not for the gain of anyone but for God alone.

So, it is wrong for you to believe the teachers who say that if you want a faster physical blessing then you should invest in soul-winning.

Note: As Christians, our funds belong to God. We give back to Him through Evangelism but Jesus never meant in John chapter 4 that we would reap our physical gains faster than usual. The faster harvest HE meant was souls gained to the LORD. Soul winning is an investment for heavenly gains.

There is no dispute that if you sow seed in the Lord’s vineyard, you would reap bountiful harvest, but the time for your harvest (physical and spiritual gains) cannot be influenced. The LORD would give at the right time, it may be instant or planned.

Finally, soul-winning cannot help reduce the time between your seed and harvest time because soul winning is for spiritual harvesting while your seed is for physical (and heavenly) harvesting. Jehovah determines the time for All Things.

Troubled heart: 10 Ways to Relieve Your Soul

Troubled heart: 10 Ways to Relieve Your Soul

A troubled heart is a state of mind filled with uncertainty and anxiety.

It is obvious that the world cannot be free from trouble, but how can you be free from it? Who can save you from the experience of hard times? Where would the strength to survive troubles come from?

I was shocked about the US statistics from verywellmind:

“In the next 24 hours in the United States:

1,439 teens will attempt suicide.

2,795 teenage girls will become pregnant.

15,006 teens will use drugs for the first time.

3,506 teens will run away.

2 teens will be murdered.”

The figures above sadly show a terrible moment going on unannounced in the midst of youths who have the highest population density in the world…

Today’s message would give practical steps to take for your troubled heart to receive perfect relief.

What Could be the Cause of a Troubled Mind?

A troubled heart occurs when it comes to: Loss of job, health issues, death of loved ones, financial hiccups, divorce, high incidence of crime, poor standard of living, civil war, business bankruptcy.

Moral degradation in the society, love of porn among young and old, political corruption, popular acceptability of abortion and division in the church. The cause is sincerely endless…

10 Ways to Overcome a Troubled Heart

Please, note that accepting Jesus Christ as your saviour does not stop occurrence of troubles. But your acceptance guarantees your salvation. Don’t be disappointed that Jesus Christ is not a magician, but be glad that He have the master-key that opens the door of peace to escape troubles.

John chapter 16 verse 33: “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

When I found myself in serious troubles, I practised the following points below and my troubled heart received peace from the Lord:

1. Little Cry but Much Care

It is natural to cry when the heart is troubled but too much cry blinds the mind. Give care and love to your body, soul and spirit because you have many joyful times ahead of you.

2. Say ‘No’ to thoughtful expressions

Disallow regretful thoughts in your mind. Millions of thoughts with psychological images cannot ease your troubled soul. Empty your heart as much as you can and do the next point.

3. Singing Softens the Heart

Sing your favourite songs or play your favourite instrument and your heart would be lighted. Solutions to your troubled mind shall be revealed.

Philippians chapter 4 verse 6: “Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

4. Deny Your Faith a ‘Travel Ticket’

Don’t give-in to a natural phenomenon where your faith melts away in times of trouble. Build a strong determination in your heart to sustain your faith in the power of the LORD.

5. Make Prayers and not Complaints

Complaints to the Lord through a troubled heart can lead to blasphemy. So, it is wise you make short intermittent prayers to the LORD when your mind is heavy. It works for me when I lost my first child. The LORD will speak to you and you would hear from Him when your faith is intact.

6. Dig Deep and Throw Out the Sin

There are some cases where your troubles are rooted in your sins. You don’t need a microphone to announce your wrongs. Confess to the LORD and take steps of repentance, your troubled heart would become healed.

7. Don’t Give the Crown to Fear

Tough times are accompanied by fear, don’t admit to it because it could lead to total loss, depression, suicide and death. Rebuke fear and sustain your faith in the LORD.

Isaiah chapter 43 verse 1 to 3: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.

For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.”

8. Share Your Worried Heart with the Wise

“A problem shared is half solved.” Visit a wise God-fearing person and express your deepest pain to him. A simple narration from him can be a turning point for you.

9. Encourage Yourself through the Bible

If the wisest person ministers to you and you refused to encourage yourself, then your troubled heart would stay damaged for a long time.

I was a child of God who gained Masters admission to a University in UK but the organisation to sponsor me could not due to economic recession. It was then I knew that Christians are not immune against disappointment. I felt bad but encouraged myself with the word of God.

10. Put Your Trust in Him

I put my trust in the LORD when my heart was troubled and He blessed me with healthy children (no more death). He made me a business proprietor for His Glorious Ministry to grow…I can’t complete the count. The LORD would redeem you if your trust is completely in Him.

Psalm 46 verse 1 to 3: “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth gives way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.”

Troubles come in various forms but some of the guidelines above would save you from the mess of a troubled heart. May the LORD help us to survive the troubles of each day in Jesus name.
