Abandon God? 10 Horrible Things that can happen!

Abandon God? 10 Horrible Things that can happen!

To abandon God is like sitting on the keg of gun powder which can explode when least expected. You might be going through some hard times you don’t expect… and you thought such unwanted circumstances shouldn’t have happened to you because of your Christian status. Sorry about that! But to abandon God is not a good option.

Many years ago, I abandoned Satan and gave my life to the LORD. HE promised me good wealth and some other attractive packages. Few years later, I did not enjoy any good wealth as promised by the Lord.

So, I abandoned God and chose to follow my way. I met some guys who introduced me into a trading business I know nothing about. The business plan was so attractive, and I thought in my heart that I will be a millionaire in a short time.

I whispered to myself that it is good to abandon God and handle life the way it pleases me…

I borrowed a total of 4,000 dollars from three different sources for the trading. After the transaction, I ran into a huge loss. I never knew that the river side I always go for recreation could ever be a place of suicide for me.

Two minutes to my suicide hour, I received a miraculous phone call that gave me hope to pay back the money I borrowed. The God I abandoned had mercy on me.

To abandon God is dangerous, destructive and deadly!!

What does it mean to Abandon God?

God is the Creator of all creations. HE is so great that you can’t know everything about HIM. To abandon God means:

1. Stop praying to HIM with faith.

2. Refusal to praise HIM with all your heart.

3. To become a hypocrite.

4. Falling in love with the things of the world.

5. No passion for personal Bible studies and

6. Disobedience to the Word of God.

To abandon God attracts the following troubles;

1. Rejection: Satan was an arch angel in Heaven before He abandoned God. The LORD rejected him and he was cast out of Heaven.

Revelation chapter 12 verses 9 says: “So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.”

2. Curses: The Pharisees and the Priest abandon God for their selfish interest and Jesus rained curses on them.

Matthew chapter 23 verse 13 says: “But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither go in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in.”

3. Restlessness: The minds that abandon God can never enjoy peace, because God is Peace and Jesus is Prince of Peace.

Isaiah chapter 9 verse 6 says: “For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

4. Confusion: Uncertainty is the order of the day for those that abandon God. For example; the Atheist always gets confused in the deepest part of their heart.

5. Demotion: Anyone that rejects God cannot enjoy steady promotion in life. For instance, king Jehoahaz abandon God and he was pulled down from his throne.

Second Chronicles chapter 36 verse 2 and 3: “Jehoahaz was twenty-three years old when he became king, and he reigned three months in Jerusalem. Now the king of Egypt deposed him at Jerusalem…”

6. Pay unbearable Price: Those that abandon God live a life with heavy burden.

Jesus called those who abandon God to change their mind.

Matthew chapter 11 verse 28 to 30 says: “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

7. More Enemies: if you abandon God, your enemies would triumph over you.

First King chapter 11: “… So the LORD became angry with Solomon, because his heart had turned from the LORD God of Israel, who had appeared to him twice…

Therefore the LORD said to Solomon, “Because you have done this, and have not kept My covenant and My statutes, which I have commanded you, I will surely tear the kingdom away from you and give it to your servant…”

“Now the LORD raised up an adversary against Solomon, Hadad the Edomite; he was a descendant of the king in Edom...”

8. Slavery: the victims would suffer emotional, physical and spiritual slavery.

Judges chapter 3 verses 8 says: “Therefore the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel, and He sold them into the hand of Cushan-Rishathaim king of Mesopotamia; and the children of Israel served Cushan-Rishathaim eight years.

9. Insecurity: Nightmares, spiritual torments, theft cases, loss of job, and other similar terrible things are not far from those who abandon God.

10. Lost Salvation: those that are strongly determined to abandon God forever will lose the salvation of Jesus Christ and will automatically lose Heaven.

Hebrew chapter 6 verses 4 to 6 says: “For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.”

Please do not reject God despite any ‘disappointment’. The motivational Pastors always preach half-truth such as; “when you accept Christ there is enjoyment, money, food, shelter, Joy, Fruitfulness and all good things.” They don’t preach the other side of the coin.

Please don’t reject God if you experience ‘Suffering in Christ’:

Apostle Peter said: “But even if you should suffer for righteousness sake, you are blessed. “And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled.” (1Peter 3:14).

For it is better, if it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.” (1Peter 3:17).

Suffer means endurance, so everything about Christianity is not rosy.

Don’t abandon God when you meet ‘tribulations’ on the pathway of Salvation:

Jesus says: “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

The motivational Pastors kept this bitter truth from you… sorry about that.

There is no circumstance of life that justifies rejecting God as your LORD and Savior.

Is Masturbation a Safe Practice for the Christians?

Is Masturbation a Safe Practice for the Christians?

Masturbation is a sexual selfie for pleasure. Many medical experts say moderate masturbation is good, but it is difficult to measure a moderate masturbation. Thus, they are guilty of their claims!

Many Pastors in the church and the Evangelists in the field kept quiet on this disturbing topic. Is their silence a support to the practice? I searched through the Bible, but I can’t find the word ‘masturbation’. Does that mean the Lord never bothered about masturbation?

Research has found that among adolescents aged 14–17 years in the United States, around 74 percent of males and 48 percent of females masturbate.

Among older adults, roughly 63 percent of men and 32 percent of women between 57 and 64 years of age masturbate.

A silent popular practice!!

Today’s message is strictly for those searching for the way out of masturbation. Before proceeding, I want you to read the testimony of this boy:

“Masturbation opens the door to many physical and mental problems. I started when I was 13 years old and found out by accident. Although my friends started before I did; and would ask me if I did, I would say “no, that’s nasty”, and they would tell me to do it.

One night I was taking a bath and began to wash my penis with my hand, the sensation that it created with the soap was incredible, then it happened.

I was hooked at 13. Over the years, I have experienced hair loss, lack of energy, decreased mental capacity, no social life, poor erection, perverted thoughts, pain in my ass, pain in my testicles, twitching throughout my body, enlarged/swollen prostate, weak pee stream, low self-esteem, general weakness, feeling like I have no legs, utter disgust with myself.

I’m 26 now not married, no kids, but I recently stopped and all I can say now is that I feel great. It’s like my body is making a slow recovery. My hair is even coming back. Pray and the Lord will help you quit the porn and masturbation.

Eventually you will break this habit. For me, I just quit one day because of the terrible pain I was feeling due to the habit! With the Lord, all things are possible. Pray in the name of Jesus!”

The Truth about Masturbation

I authoritatively announce to you today that masturbation is a destructive practice. It is highly addictive! It is wise not to start the sexual selfie, because to pull out of it requires a fierce battle.

1. Masturbation does not ease the stress in you; rather it increases the unrest of your heart. It relaxes the body with hormones of bitterness, while your soul and spirit suffers restlessness.

2. Masturbation is not the right practice for sexual discovery, because the disadvantages outweigh the impatient discovery. God designed your body to discover its sexual feelings in marriage. “Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.” Genesis 2:24

3. Masturbation is not safer than fornication; I was shocked when some Christian youths make misconception of first Corinthians chapter 10 verses 13 as a justification for masturbation… The way out from any temptation must be holy and scripturally defined. No one in the Bible recommended masturbation as a way out of fornication/adultery.

Is Masturbation Holy and Better than Fornication and Adultery?

Masturbation is not mentioned in the Bible. But, let’s list the features of masturbation, and standardize it with the Bible.

Masturbation involves:

1. An individual trying to derive sexual pleasure with his/her sex organ.

Point 1 does not conform to the Bible, because God created sexual pleasure for couples.

Genesis chapter 1 verse 27 and 28 says: “So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it…”

2. The use of the pictorial tools of the heart to show sexual images.

This act does not conform; Proverbs chapter 6 verses 25 say: “Do not lust after her beauty in your heart, nor let her allure you with her eyelids.”

3. The use of the audio tools of the heart to make sexual noises.

4. Stroking the sex organs for pleasure.

This act is not for someone in his/her right senses (madness). The wet vagina and spillage of sperm to the body or to the floor during masturbation is an act of uncleanliness (improper way to release).

Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness…” (Galatians 5:19)

5. Imagination of sexual events

Point 5 does not conform to the Bible, because Jesus says: “But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” (Matthew 5:28)

6. Watch a lot of porn videos and read many porn books/magazines.

You are free to send your comments to me if any of the six points above do not occur during masturbation. But, if the points are true, then the sexual selfie is not a godly practice. Masturbation is not written in the Bible, but it is categorized as invention of evil things recorded by Paul.

Please, I want you to carefully read Chapter 1 of Paul’s letter to the Romans; it encompasses a lot of invented sins existing in our generation.

“…For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness… because, although they knew God… but became futile in their thoughts… Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts (masturbation inclusive), to dishonor their bodies among themselves…  For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature (female masturbator inclusive)…”

My friend, masturbation involves the lust of the heart, and it is against the natural use of your sex organ. Thus, it is not God’s standard for you!

The Physical and Mental Effects of Masturbation

Don’t be deceived by anyone, masturbation is destructive – I tell you the truth!! You have nothing to gain in such practice. Masturbation is highly addictive; don’t listen to those misleading Doctors/’Pastors’. You can’t do little of masturbation and stop; it will always hunt for you every day!

The effects I mentioned below are not theoretical but the reality:

1. Nervousness and neurological disorders

2. Masturbation creates depression after ejaculation and makes one feel bad

3. It wastes your time and makes you useless

4. Masturbation can cause erectile dysfunction

5. Inability to concentrate on important tasks

6. It gives the sufferer a low self-esteem

7. Masturbation steals your joy at long run

8. It makes you look like a mad person

Spiritual Effects of Masturbation!

1. The Spirit of the Lord will leave you when you masturbate.

This will allow the spirit of darkness to come over you, to oppress you, abuse you, make you bitter and condemn you.

2. Masturbation grieves the Holy Spirit

3. You will find it difficult to fellowship with the Lord, because the spirit of guilt won’t give you the peace you deserved.

4. The demons-in-charge of illicit sex will always put the masturbators into bondage of masturbation.

5. Masturbation is lustful, thus, the active masturbators are not children of God.

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world–the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life–is not of the Father but is of the world.” (1John2:15-16)

12 Ways to get Perfect Deliverance from Masturbation

1. If you are ripe for marriage, avoid unnecessary delay.

2. Destroy all the porn materials; delete the images and videos on your devices. Those in the brain will take time, but don’t lose hope.

3. Your heart must be reformed with the word of God. Read the Bible!

4. Cry loud on your knee, and Pray to the Lord when you feel the pull.

5. Set your heart to hate masturbation and be determined to stop.

6. Drugs and alcohol cannot stop masturbation.

7. Quit friends that delight in the sexual selfie.

8. Don’t live a lonely life, always mingle with godly people.

9. Go to bed when you are half asleep!

10. Make a long fellowship with God during your free period.

11. Don’t watch movies or musicals, but educative documentaries.

12. When you set eyes on opposite sex, don’t make a lustful gaze.

All the points above are not magical, so endure your days of deliverance and you shall get your freedom.

Note: “Wet dreams” is different from masturbation, because it occurs without your consciousness.

Masturbation for the sake of pleasure is a lustful practice, and it is highly addictive. It is wise not to start, and, it is safer to stop the practice. The Lord would deliver every sufferer that reads this message today in Jesus Mighty Name – Amen.

22 Character that can hurt Marriage; Work against Divorce!

22 Character that can hurt Marriage; Work against Divorce!

The incidence of hurt marriage is spreading like wildfire! And the best we can do is to identify the ‘viruses and worms’ attacking the marriage programming of our generation.

The level of divorce and remarriage is worrisome in the Christendom. Prophet Malachi says: “…Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously with the wife of his youth. “For the LORD God of Israel says That He hates divorce, For it covers one’s garment with violence,” Says the LORD of hosts.”

There are some terrible things that happen in the marriage, but do not quickly file for divorce on matters that can be resolved amicably. God hates divorce!

I remembered the painful story of Dr. Richard:

“Eight years ago, the wife of Dr. Richard Batista was slowly dying due to failing kidneys. The Batistas’s marriage was already on shaky ground due to Dawnell’s deteriorating health but just then, Richard decided to take a more active part in his wife’s recovery and gave her his own kidney.

It was magical; after Dawnell’s body rejected the transplants from her dad and brother, it turned out she and Richard were a perfect 1-in-700,000 match. Surely it was destiny, and it could have gone down as one of the most romantic gift ever (he gave her part of himself).

It could have, if the recovered Mrs. Batista did not then allegedly defied the bed with another person. The husband, enraged over the lack of gratitude, demanded his kidney back.

Someone presumably explained that the courts likely would not reward him the right to go to work on his wife with a butcher knife, so he is asking for $1.5 million instead, which is presumably what it costs to get a good replacement kidney off the black market…” Too bad to experience!

Run away from the following character that can hurt marriage:

1. Dis-trustfulness

2. Nagging irritates your spouse

3. Laziness can hurt marriage

4. Conjecture breaks marriage

5. Arguments spark bitterness

6Lack of Correlative Respect

7. Keeping helpful secrets from your spouse

8. Unforgiving

9. Lies

10. Extramarital Relations

11. Bad Communication skills

12. More Interaction with friends than your spouse

13. Spending little time with your spouse

14. Love for Party and Clubbing

15. Not fervent in Spiritual matters

16. Not Sharing Thoughts with each other

17. Careless Talks and Jokes

18. Public exposure of your spouse’s inadequacies

19. Rejecting Corrections hurt marriage

20. Lack of God’s Knowledge in the Bible can hurt marriage

21. Hot Temperament

22. Always wearing a sad face!

Do everything to keep your marriage, either in the midst of the storm or in the rosy garden of abundance. The popular practice of divorce and remarry is ungodly, and it’s not for genuine Christians.

“So Jesus said to them, “Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery against her. And if a woman divorces her husband and marries another, she commits adultery.” (Mark 10:11-12)

Anyone who divorce would either remain single till death, or reconcile with his/her spouse.

I deduce from my marital experience that if I am faithful to the Lord in all my ways, then it will be difficult to hurt marriage.

Good Friday: Is it True that Jesus was Crucified on a Friday?

Good Friday: Is it True that Jesus was Crucified on a Friday?

Good Friday is an annual event to commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus and His death at Calvary. But, how can Jesus suffer crucifixion on Good Friday and resurrect in two days – Easter Sunday?

Today’s topic will interest you, because it would show the right day the Lord Jesus was crucified.

Basic Facts to understand about Good Friday

The popular belief in the Christendom is that Jesus Christ was crucified on a Good Friday. The Pope and Pastors told us that Jesus Christ died on a Friday afternoon and resurrected on a Sunday morning.

If this information is true, then Jesus spent about one and half days in the place of death. But, Jesus told His disciples and the Pharisees that He would spend three days and three nights in the place of death.

Matthew chapter 12 verse 38 to 40 says: “Then some of the scribes and Pharisees answered, saying, “Teacher, we want to see a sign from You.”

But He answered and said to them, “An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.

For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.”

I asked some Pastors to prove the three days and three nights if Jesus was crucified on a Good Friday. Their common count was:

Friday afternoon (Day 1)

Saturday afternoon (Day 2)

Sunday Morning (Day 3)

The Pastors shy away from the Night count, because they couldn’t formulate the count of three nights!! Anyway, the popular count above is wrong.

Today’s message is not meant to condemn anyone, but to open our mind to the right understanding about the crucifixion day, and the resurrection day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

To understand this message, you must be ready to read the Bible. Thus, don’t skip the Bible verses in this article….thank you.

Counting the Days from Good Friday

A day can never be complete if  the hours is not twenty-four. And each day has the dark time (6pm to 6am) and the light time (6am to 6pm). It is misleading to teach people that the light time (12 hours) is equal to one complete day.

This is my response to the counts of the Pastors:

Friday afternoon cannot be considered as a day, because Jesus died around 3pm on Friday (not up to 24 hours).

Saturday count was a day, but Sunday count was ‘absolutely’ wrong, because Jesus rose before the light time.

Now on the first day of the week (Sunday) Mary Magdalene went to the tomb early, while it was still dark, and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb.” (John 20:1)

Counting the days and nights from Good Friday:

The Nights:

Friday night (1)

Saturday night (1)

No Sunday night.

Thus, total night from Good Friday is two nights.

The Days:

3 hours on Friday

Saturday (1)

No Sunday.

Thus, total day from Good Friday is 1 day and 3 hours.

The Good Friday and Easter Sunday celebration in the church today is on the basis of two nights and 11/4 day. This is a contradiction to the word of Jesus Christ.

Jesus is not a liar. He spent three days and three nights in the place of death before resurrection.

John chapter 2 verse 18 to 21: “So the Jews answered and said to Him, “What sign do You show to us, since You do these things?”

Jesus answered and said to them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” Then the Jews said, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will You raise it up in three days?” But He was speaking of the temple of His body.”

If Good Friday is Wrong, then when was the Crucifixion Day?

Before I go ahead on this topic, you must understand these three facts;

1. There is more than one type of Sabbath.

(a) Weekly Sabbath day (Saturday); “…but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates.” (Exodus 20:10)

And

(b) Annual Convocation Sabbath (high Sabbath) which can fall to any day of the week;

Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread. On the first day you shall remove leaven from your houses. For whoever eats leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that person shall be cut off from Israel.

On the first day there shall be a holy convocation, and on the seventh day there shall be a holy convocation for you. No manner of work shall be done on them; but that which everyone must eat-that only may be prepared by you.” (Exodus 12:15–16)

2. The Jewish clock differs from the one we use; Jewish day starts from the evening (6pm) and ends at the next (6pm) evening, while ours starts from morning (12am) to the next (12am) morning.

3. Jesus spent 3 days and 3 nights in the place of death. “For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.” (Matthew 12:40)

Alright! I hope you get it right. Let’s continue….

John chapter 19 verse 30 to 31 says: “So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.

Therefore, because it was the Preparation Day, that the bodies should not remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a high day), the Jews asked Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.”

The Preparation Day is the day before the Sabbath day; such day is for purchases and conclusion of all activities.

So, there is no dispute that Jesus Christ died on the day that comes before the Sabbath day. The Sabbath day mentioned in John 19 verse 31 is not the weekly Sabbath. That was the reason for the emphasis by the writer who referred to the Sabbath as a high day. This Sabbath is related to the annual Sabbath.

Which Sabbath was a ‘High Day’?

The high day Sabbath was the ordinance of the Lord God as regards festivals such as Passover day and Feast of the unleavened bread.

Leviticus chapter 23 verse 4 to 8 says: “These are the feasts of the LORD, holy convocations which you shall proclaim at their appointed times. ‘On the fourteenth day of the first month at twilight is the LORD’S Passover.

And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the Feast of Unleavened Bread to the LORD; seven days you must eat unleavened bread. On the first day you shall have a holy convocation; you shall do no customary work on it.

‘But you shall offer an offering made by fire to the LORD for seven days. The seventh day shall be a holy convocation; you shall do no customary work on it.’”

The passage above revealed the truth that there is more than one type of Sabbath (…you shall do no customary work on it…).

Do not forget that Jesus kept the Passover with His disciples:

“…And He said, “Go into the city to a certain man, and say to him, ‘The Teacher says, “My time is at hand; I will keep the Passover at your house with My disciples… So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them; and they prepared the Passover…”

And Jesus Christ was arrested on the Passover night:

“Then Jesus said to them, “All of you will be made to stumble because of Me this night, for it is written: ‘I will strike the Shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered’… Then they came and laid hands on Jesus and took Him.” (Matthew chapter 26)

Note: The Jewish day starts from 6pm and ends at the next evening. Jesus was arrested at night that marks the beginning of the Passover day. And on the next day of Passover; He was crucified and died around 3pm. He died when the next day is just about 3 hours to come.

And about the ninth hour (3pm) Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” that is, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”… And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit.” (Matthew 27:46-50)

According to the commandment of God (not the modified Jewish version), the next day after the Passover is the first day of the (7 days) Feast of unleavened bread. And, the commandment of the Lord says that the first day of the unleavened bread must be free of work (Sabbath). (Leviticus 23:4-8)

That was the reason for breaking the thieves’ knees, and the quick burial of Jesus before 6pm (which marked the new day of an annual Sabbath).

Crucifixion Day was on Wednesday, Not Good Friday!

Jesus Christ was crucified and entombed on a Wednesday afternoon. You need more scriptural proof? Alright!

Let’s open our Bible to the book of Mark chapter 16 verses 1: “Now when the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices, that they might come and anoint Him.”

The women bought the spices (on Friday) when the Sabbath attached to the Feast of the unleavened bread was over. They got it prepared on Friday and rested on Saturday (the weekly Sabbath). And, they planned to go to His tomb on Sunday after the Sabbath.

Luke chapter 24 verses 1 says: “Now on the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they, and certain other women with them, came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared.”

By comparing the details above, you can clearly see that two different Sabbaths were mentioned along with a work day in between. The first Sabbath was a holy convocation (high day) – the first day of the Feast of unleavened bread, (which took place on a Thursday). And, the second Sabbath was the weekly seventh day (Saturday).

Good Friday and Easter Sunday are wrong Teachings!

Since we could distinguish the holy annual convocation Sabbath (Wednesday) for feast of unleavened bread, and the weekly Sabbath (Saturday), then, it is clear that Jesus Christ was neither crucified on Good Friday nor resurrected on daylight of the Easter Sunday.

Note: Jesus Christ did not resurrect on the sunrise of Sunday, because John chapter 20 verses 1 says: “Now on the first day of the week Mary Magdalene went to the tomb early, while it was still dark, and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb.”

The word of God delivered me from the lies of Good Friday, and I want you to be delivered as well.

I take the full responsibilities of my teaching today, because I know that teachers in the church will be judged with greater strictness. (James 3:1)

Jesus Christ is not a liar, He says:  “For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.” (Matthew 12:40)

Jesus Christ was entombed few hours to sunset on a Wednesday.

Counting the Days and Nights from Wednesday:

The Nights:

Thursday night (First)

Friday night (Second)

Saturday night (Third)

Thus, the total night is Three

The Days:

Wednesday to Thursday (First)

Thursday to Friday (Second)

Friday to Saturday (Third)

Thus, the total day is Three

The counts above respect the rule of twenty-four hours make a day.

Jesus Christ was entombed few hours to the sunset of Wednesday, thus He spent three days and three nights in the place of death and resurrected few hours to the sunset of Saturday.

Mary met an empty tomb on Sunday morning when it was still dark, because Jesus Christ had resurrected long before the early morning cock crow!!

I advise you to be careful with the religious traditions and commemoration that are not rooted in the Word of God. Worship God and celebrate Him according to the Biblical truth, and be careful of the popular man-made doctrines in the Christendom.

Please, read this message twice and study the context and content of all the scriptural references for proper understanding. Feel free to share your comments with me.

God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

7 Duties of a Christian Father

7 Duties of a Christian Father

A Christian father represents God in his family. But, is that the reality in our homes today? Can the low impact of the Christian fathers cause the high level of ungodliness among the youths today?

It’s a pity that the world would soon crumble, if the Christian fathers did not intensify their child-raising responsibilities!

Today’s message reveals some vital duties of a responsible Christian father, but I would like to share this story with you before I proceed:

“An 80-year-old man was sitting on the sofa in his house along with his 45 year’s old highly educated son. Suddenly a crow perched on their window. The Father asked his Son, “What is this?” The Son replied “It is a crow”.

After a few minutes, the Father asked his Son the second time, “What is this?” The Son said “Father, I have just told you “It’s a crow”.

After a little while, the old Father again asked his Son the third time, “What is this?” At this time some expression of irritation was felt in the Son’s tone when he said to his Father with a rebuff.

“It’s a crow, a crow, a crow”.

A little after, the Father again asked his Son the fourth time, “What is this?”
This time the Son shouted at his Father, “Why do you keep asking me the same question again and again, although I have told you so many times ‘IT IS A CROW’. Are you not able to understand this?”

A little later the Father went to his room and came back with an old tattered diary, which he had maintained since his Son was born. On opening a page, he asked his Son to read that page.

When the son read it, the following words were written in the diary: –
“Today my little son aged three was sitting with me on the sofa, when a crow was sitting on the window.

My Son asked me 23 times what it was, and I replied to him all 23 times that it was a Crow. I hugged him lovingly each time he asked me the same question again and again for 23 times.

I did not at all feel irritated I rather felt affection for my innocent child”.
While the little child asked him 23 times “What is this”, the Father had felt no irritation in replying to the same question all 23 times and when today the Father asked his Son the same question just 4 times, the Son felt irritated and annoyed.”

The duty of a Christian father is not limited to the provision for the needs of his children. But, the following points are also crucial for raising a God-fearing generation:

  1. Introduce your children to Spiritual Drills

Training your children in the way of the Lord is a fundamental role you can’t afford to miss. The success of a Christian father is to ensure that his children acknowledge the Bible as the only road map for their journey in life.

Proverbs chapter 22 verse 6 says: “Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.”

2. Follow-Up with your Children

It is good to show your children the way of the Lord. But, it is another duty to follow-up with them. Though, the culture of the land gives children above 18 to live without parental guidance, and this culture is a time bomb for the next generation. It’s unfortunate that many children are misusing this freedom.

3. Call for Fellowship

It is true that some children of Jacob had neglected the way of the Lord. But, their hearts were linked to the Lord again through the family altar (Genesis chapter 35).

A Christian father must not be too tired to sing and pray with his children every day. You are failing if you don’t pray with your children at home. There is Power in Prayers!

4. A Christian father is a Role Model

You can’t give what you don’t have”. If you want your children to be obedient, gentle, kind, God-fearing and caring, then you must start these practices. Because, you are a mirror to your children, they imitate your reflection.

5. Develop an excellent communication skill

A Christian father must patiently listen to his children. Your kids are exposed to many ungodly teachings out there, and most times they get confused.

When you listen patiently, then your children would be encouraged to tell you more. And the more they speak, the more you guide them in the practical way of the Lord.

The world is morally corrupt today, because the input of fathers in the upbringing of their children had dropped drastically.

  1. Discipline your children

Your kids are bound to do wrongs, but correct them with love. If the culture of the land discourages flogging a stubborn child, then don’t hesitate to punish them through another means.

And give a thorough punishment to the stubborn ones. Teach them how to live in abundance and how to live in shortage. Disciplinary actions should cut across their physical, spiritual, emotional, moral and academic life.

The rod and rebuke give wisdom, but a child left to himself brings shame to his mother.” (Proverbs 29:15)

7. Create Time for your Children

Many children are exposed to online porns, gambling, and occultism, because their father is not around to guide them. A Christian father that works round the clock to earn money is raising his children for the devil.
