Holiness: 20 Ways for You to be a Holy Christian

Holiness: 20 Ways for You to be a Holy Christian

Holiness means a lifestyle free of sinful actions. How can a Christian survive the corruption, lies and distractions around us? Civilization and the technology made the issue of holiness unpopular. It’s a call for concern for those enduring on the narrow path to heaven.

Today’s message will enumerate the crucial steps to take for a consistent holy life in the LORD.

How to live holy in God’s Presence Every day

3. Hear from the Holy Spirit before taking your final decision.

4. Read the word of God daily.

5. Obedience to the word of God.

6. Respect the Power of Jesus’ Blood that cleanse your sins.

7. Don’t take the Grace of God for granted.

8. Preserve and respect your body as the temple of the LORD.

9. Stay away from Pastors or Prophets who urge you to come every Sunday to confess your sins.

10. Stay away from church that exalt their doctrines than Evangelizing the Gospel.

11. Read helpful Christian books.

12. Visit Christian blogs for inspired messages.

13. Don’t be afraid to say the truth in all circumstances.

14. Scold yourself when you do wrong and stick to godly corrections.

16. Endure the disciplinary actions of a genuine rebirth.

17. Think more about the glorious heaven and less of earthly things.

18. Don’t live with fear of sin because it would catch up with you.

19. Be on the alert always so you can respond to temptations without failure.

20. Don’t worry about people’s comment but be concerned about God’s comments about you.

Bible verses about Holiness

Don’t fall into the traps of many false Pastors who preach on their pulpit that no one can be holy. They lie to everyone that the grace of Jesus covers their active sinful lives.

Romans chapter 12 verse 1:

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.”

1Peter chapter 1 verse 15 and 16:

“but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.””

2Corinthians chapter 7 verse 1:

“Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.”

Leviticus chapter 11 verse 45:

“For I am the LORD who brings you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God. You shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.”

Leviticus chapter 19 verse 2:

“Speak to all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘You shall be holy, for I the LORD your God am holy.’”

Hebrew chapter 12 verse 14: “Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord”

The LORD’s Power is the source of your holiness while your obedience to HIM sustains your holy status. God be with you in Jesus name.

Mammon; 10 Ways to Know if I Serve GOD or My Wealth.

Mammon; 10 Ways to Know if I Serve GOD or My Wealth.

Mammon is a spirit that masterminds the love of wealth for people’s comfort on earth. He is a friendly master who specialize in turning the heart of Christians from godliness.

The voice of money is so loud in the Christendom today! We rank our churches by size and the luxury in it. Why do we have millionaire club in the church? Why do we raise funds for expensive projects through game of the biggest donor among the rich and through exploitation of the poor?

Today’s message is for the Christians who have a strong concern to know if mammon is with them or not.

What did Jesus mean by serving Mammon?

He was teaching His audience about money and possession: “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and Mammon.” Matthew 6:24

Jesus discourages you from the love of wealth accumulation. He wants you to spend your money into the lives of the poor. If you work hard to have many mansions, exotic cars, and all the best acquisition on earth then you are serving Mammon.

Jesus says: “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal.” Matthew 6:19

You’ll serve Mammon when you give importance to your wealth. Did you want people to recognise you as a wealthy person? Then you are in for it!

Jesus is not against riches but He does not want you to love money or squander the monies on material things of this earth.

The sitting down and construction of luxurious churches is against God’s plan for the Gospel, because Jesus Christ expects us to always be on the ripe field for harvest!

The Strategy of the spirit of wealth

1. He gives you reasons for keeping all your accumulated monies into various bank accounts across the world.

2. This spirit would always discourage you from huge investment into the lives of poor.

3. Mammon tells you that building luxurious churches and purchase of exotic cars for the church workers are enough for God.

4. He puts your mind in all your treasures, so you think less about God and Heaven.

5. The spirit of Mammon lures you into greediness and a life without satisfaction.

How to Serve God and not Riches

One vital way to serve GOD is to manage your wealth properly to avoid bankrupt and invest your profit into the lives of the poor.

“Now behold, one came and said to Him, “Good Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?” … Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”

But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions. Then Jesus said to His disciples, “Assuredly, I say to you that it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew chapter 19

How to Know if You Serve Mammon

1. You love announcing your donations and when you are convinced to give to the poor, you want the TV stations to cover the events so that the world can know the millions you spent.

2. Preference to expensive things than moderate ones which serves the same purpose.

3. Do you yell at God disrespectfully when you run out of cash or not getting enough?

4. Devote more time to work and generate more money at the detriment of evangelism.

5. Followers of Mammon doze off when its time for Bible studies and prayers.

6. Mammon worshipers make special prayers to the Lord and promise to donate a big cash into the gospel if HE answers their request.

7. You serve Mammon when you limit the power of God to the amount of wealth you have.

8. When you love to preach prosperity and never want to emphasize messages like repentance and daily practice of holiness.

9. When your general overseer gets richer through the donation of church members and the poor congregates remain stagnant or get poorer, then you serve mammon in such a church!

10. Church that spends much fund on various structural projects than the lives of the poor have Mammon on its altar.

I don’t intend to judge anyone or any church. The points above are not my opinion but the message of the LORD to all of us!

It’s a serious concern for me as well. You can share your comments with me.

Can Soul-winning Help Me Speed Up My Harvest Time?

Can Soul-winning Help Me Speed Up My Harvest Time?

Soul-winning for the LORD refers to evangelism. But there is a new teaching now that if I want an express harvest, I should sow seeds to soul-winning. John chapter 4 verse 35 was the reference.

Is it true that my blessings (wealth, achievement in business/job, happy home etc.) would get to me faster if I give my money for soul-winning?

Today’s message would answer the question above and explain the difference between physical and spiritual harvesting.

Physical and Spiritual Harvest

I studied John chapter 4 in context and content and the earlier verses of was about soul-winning exercise of Jesus Christ to the Samaritan woman. The woman went into the city to continue the spread of the Gospel and the crowd were ready (ripe) to accept Jesus as their saviour.

So, when the event got to the stage of John chapter 4 verse 35, Jesus says: “Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!”

The content of the passage is the (ready-to-accept-salvation) crowd approaching Jesus and the context of verse 35 is clear:

The first part of verse 35 was about the physical harvesting (Human gains) while the second part was about the spiritual harvesting (LORD’S gains).

…. lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest…. Jesus told His disciples to lift their eyes and see the ripe Samaritans approaching Him for salvation.

The planting and harvesting for soul-winning are very fast and the only earner in this harvest is GOD. Yes, there are rewards for the givers but they are not partaker of the harvest. (Because givers for soul-winning are labourers, they shall be paid by the LORD)

The events recorded in John chapter 4 was plainly ministering (seed) to people and they gave their lives to the LORD (harvesting).

Example of Soul-winning investment

For more clarity, let me give an example: “If I invest 100k into evangelism today and the funds was put into use at a village which influence 40 people and 10 souls gave their lives to God the same day. Follow up was done after two weeks and additional 20 souls became born again…”

The field Jesus is referring to in my example is the 40 people.

The seed here is the ministration of the Good News to the 40 people including the help rendered.

The ‘already white for harvest’ Jesus refers to in my example is the 30 souls who surrendered their lives to Jesus.

Note: All events in John chapter 4 does not capture my own part as the investor of 100k for evangelism. Yes, the 100k is a seed and must have harvest too which was recorded in Matthew chapter 6 verse 19 to 21:

“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

The Ministry of Jesus had many sponsors, in fact the evangelism that took place in John chapter 4 was well funded because the disciples went to buy food so that all of them can have strength to continue ministration…but Jesus didn’t mention that the harvest was for the sponsors.

The harvest in John chapter 4 (both content and context) is not for the gain of anyone but for God alone.

So, it is wrong for you to believe the teachers who say that if you want a faster physical blessing then you should invest in soul-winning.

Note: As Christians, our funds belong to God. We give back to Him through Evangelism but Jesus never meant in John chapter 4 that we would reap our physical gains faster than usual. The faster harvest HE meant was souls gained to the LORD. Soul winning is an investment for heavenly gains.

There is no dispute that if you sow seed in the Lord’s vineyard, you would reap bountiful harvest, but the time for your harvest (physical and spiritual gains) cannot be influenced. The LORD would give at the right time, it may be instant or planned.

Finally, soul-winning cannot help reduce the time between your seed and harvest time because soul winning is for spiritual harvesting while your seed is for physical (and heavenly) harvesting. Jehovah determines the time for All Things.

Coronavirus: Eye-Opener for the Sensitive Christians!

Coronavirus: Eye-Opener for the Sensitive Christians!

Coronavirus disease is a global pandemic affecting more than 225 countries; 6,184,299 deaths and 494.3 million infected cases – still counting. All experts in the world are helpless and no drug could cure this plague in our midst! Though vaccines are available now.

I call Covid-19 the Hands of the LORD to remind us that He controls the world. He is not wicked, but fulfilling the ancient prophesy!

Today’s message would help you to have a practical insight on how the Day of rapture could play out.

9 Lessons to Learn from Coronavirus Pandemic

1. Coronavirus is now the greatest event shaking all the continents; thus, the rapture would occur one day and shake the root of the world.

Matthew chapter 24 verse 40 to 42: “Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left. Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.”

2. Covid-19 arose without warning to the world; so, the second coming of Jesus would happen suddenly and without prior notice.

First Thessalonians chapter 5 verse 2: “For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night.”

3. The Church never knew this pandemic would affect her early activities for the year 2020; So, a greater percentage of Christians may be taken unaware of the last day.

Matthew chapter 24 verse 38 and 39: “For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.”

4. Weak patients had no opportunity to move off the hook of the deadly Coronavirus; the lukewarm Christians who miss the rapture would find it extremely difficult to endure the scorpion-whip of the anti-Christ.

Revelation chapter 13 verse 15 to 17: “…as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed…and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.”

5. Coronavirus had no respect neither for the world leaders nor human race; The events of the last day shall have no regard for ecclesiastical titles, church buildings or accounts.

Matthew chapter 5 verse 20: “For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.”

6. This pandemic was able to distinguish the fearful and the faithful Christians; Rapture shall be a day when the sheep shall be separated from the goats.

Matthew chapter 25 verse 32 and 33: “All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left.”

7. The virus had split the church into two. The members who kept Jesus in their church buildings and the ones who keep Jesus in their heart; The D-day shall differentiate between Christians on the broad way and the narrow way.

Matthew chapter 7 verse 13 and 14: “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.”

8. Coronavirus reveals sincere church leaders who releases funds from the treasury to help the poor members and the hypocrite leaders asking for tithes and offerings during the lockdown; The Day of the LORD shall separate sincerity from hypocrisy.

9. Covid-19 caused a lockdown and many lost their faith because they couldn’t enter the church building; The Rapture shall separate those whose lives are hidden in Christ from those who are hiding in the church.

Matthew chapter 7 verse 22 and 23: “Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’”

It’s time for you to search through your heart. Resolve all issues with the Lord. The window for forgiveness is available. Reconcile with the LORD and He would strengthen you.

All Christians must be at alert! HE may come during our generation!! Are you Ready?

Vanity of Life: 8 ways to know the Meaningless of Life

Vanity of Life: 8 ways to know the Meaningless of Life

Vanity of life is the product of all forms of ungodly practices. Life is made up of actions and it is not an object. Life process your data and gives you your information. If you collate ungodly data then life would process it to vanity. While godly data is always processed to Beauty of Life.

Today’s message would give a sincere meaning related to vanity of life and the perspective of King Solomon to this topic.

Why is vanity a keyword in the book of Ecclesiastes?

It is unfortunate that many depressed people quote this book to justify their suicidal action and all other forms of evil acts. You can’t hate life because king Solomon said he does!

I read Ecclesiastes many times before putting up this message and through the help of the Holy Spirit I would tell you the truth about king Solomon and his book of lamentation (Ecclesiastes).

The book of Ecclesiastes comprises of king Solomon’s personal experience, personal view and personal deduction about life under the sun. God’s input, inspiration or instruction was not in the book, so be careful with the way you handle his expression.

King Solomon described his life to be vanity when he discovered the extent at which he missed God’s presence in his life. The whole book is all about bitter lamentation of an individual!

The book of Ecclesiastes does not have God’s authority to tell you that this life is bound to be meaningless for you. Ecclesiastes was written by a depressed writer!

What Caused King’s Solomon meaningless life?

If you study the context of king Solomon in the book of Ecclesiastes, you would discover that he was full of regrets. He was bitter. He hates everything about himself. The life of the old man was miserable.

He was a happy king in his early days as recorded in the books of the Kings. His expressions in the book of Proverbs was well composed. But why did his life become vanity in his old age?

I searched through the Bible and discovered that towards the end of his life he disobeyed the commandments of the LORD. He lived his life without God’s input and this led to the emptiness of his life. So, he picked up his pen and wrote everything about his empty life (vanity).

“For it was so, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned his heart after other gods; and his heart was not loyal to the LORD his God, as was the heart of his father David.

For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Sidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites.

Solomon did evil in the sight of the LORD, and did not fully follow the LORD, as did his father David.

Then Solomon built a high place for Chemosh the abomination of Moab, on the hill that is east of Jerusalem, and for Molech the abomination of the people of Ammon.

And he did likewise for all his foreign wives, who burned incense and sacrificed to their gods.

So, the LORD became angry with Solomon, because his heart had turned from the LORD God of Israel, who had appeared to him twice, and had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods; but he did not keep what the LORD had commanded.

Therefore, the LORD said to Solomon, “Because you have done this, and have not kept My covenant and My statutes, which I have commanded you, I will surely tear the kingdom away from you and give it to your servant.

Now the LORD raised up an adversary against Solomon, Hadad the Edomite; he was a descendant of the king in Edom.” (1King 11: 1-14)

My heart is always filled with tears whenever I read the above passage about king Solomon.

8 Ways to Know the Vanity of Life!

The life of a Christian is not vanity because Jesus had come to give us life in abundance and not meaningless as described by king Solomon.

Jesus Christ says: “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10)

Vanity of life are all forms of pride celebrated without God’s consent. The following lifestyles are some of the indication of a meaningless life:

1. Life full of Parties

A meaningful life does not spend days or every weekend throwing parties. When you are too frequent at parties, you are likely to lose your godly mind.

2. Award Celebration

Life will go into vanity for any child of God that receives awards from men. Awards makes you feel big (pride) and celebration of pride leads to meaningless of life.

Jesus avoid award celebration when he says: “…Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments…” (Matthew 19:17)

3. More than One Wife

God gave a template of one man one wife in the Genesis. So, any man with wives or vice versa would run into vanity of life.

But King Solomon loved many foreign women, as well as the daughter of Pharaoh: women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Sidonians, and Hittites-from the nations of whom the LORD had said to the children of Israel, “You shall not intermarry with them, nor they with you. Surely they will turn away your hearts after their gods.” Solomon clung to these in love.” (1Kings 11:1-2)

4. Concubines, Co-habit and Extramarital affairs

All these practices are no more abomination in our society. Anyone involved in these would suffer vanity of life.

Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor reviles, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.” (1Corinthians 6:9-10)

5. Careless Love for Diversity and Varieties

This kind of love lured king Solomon into idolatry. So, if you are not restricted to the confinement of God’s commandment in the Bible. Your love for knowledge about Catholism, Mormorism, Muslim, or the Dark World, can make you fall into idolatry which is vanity.

6. Disobedience to God’s commandments is vanity

Solomon disobeyed the commandment given to him and he disliked himself when the consequences came on him. So, he suffered vanity of life when everything around him went empty and meaningless.

7. ‘To Fight God’

To seek the transfer of godly Pastor from your church…, to chase away Evangelists from your area…, refusal to help the poor…, removal of Bible from homes or public places and the likes are vanity of life.

“…Solomon therefore sought to kill Jeroboam. But Jeroboam arose and fled to Egypt, to Shishak king of Egypt, and was in Egypt until the death of Solomon.” (1Kings 11: 31-40)

8. Accumulation of Excessive Wealth

This is vexation of the spirit and vanity of life because the wealth is inherited by people who may not appreciate the labour of the rich man.

Your name on the list of the richest people is vanity. So, it is meaningless to have your name attached to hundreds of Estates, fleets of expensive cars or aeroplanes.

But life is not vanity if you share your wealth with the poor.

Listen to Jesus: “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.

But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions. Then Jesus said to His disciples, “Assuredly, I say to you that it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven…” (Matthew 19: 21- 24)

Vanity of life is for the backsliders. Life is not generally meaningless as mentioned by the bitter king Solomon. Neither the Prophets of the LORD nor Jesus Christ told us that life in its originality is vanity.

Life is meaningful if you obey all the instructions of Jesus in the Bible. Life is meaningless when you disobey the rules of the LORD. Life is sweet and interesting! Please don’t give-in to depression or suicidal thoughts. God Bless you!!
