Is the Grace of God Enough to Save Us?

Is the Grace of God Enough to Save Us?

Grace of God is a special help to save us from any trouble of life. I experienced a remarkable grace of God many years ago in the Polytechnic. I had a terrible illness during my final examination. And I used all the drugs prescribed by the doctor, but none could cure the illness. I was unhappy, because I might fail the exams and suffer an extra year in school.

On the third day of the exam, I could not leave my room because I had no energy to lift myself. I did not have the imagination of going to the grave, but I saw death staring at me.
I cried out to God with all my strength for His mercy and grace. And a wind of healing blew into my room, and I was healed miraculously through the power in the grace of God. This grace of God marked the turning point of my life to become a genuine Christian.

How true is the Grace of God?

• Noah enjoyed the Grace of God
The grace of God had been available since the beginning of the world. Noah and his family were the first to enjoy the grace of God. They were saved from the first destruction of the earth. Genesis chapter 6 verse 8 says: “But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.”

• Lot acknowledged the Grace of God
Lot did not support the sinful lifestyles of his neighbor. And he was saved from the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah through the grace (favor) of God. Genesis chapter 19 verses 19 say: “Indeed now, your servant has found favor in your sight, and you have increased your mercy which you have shown me by saving my life…”

• Moses saw the Lord through the Grace of God
Moses was one of the few prophets who saw God and the grace of God upheld him from dying. Exodus chapter 34 verse 5 to 9 says: “Now the LORD descended in the cloud and stood with him there… So Moses made haste and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshiped… I have found grace in your sight, O Lord, let my Lord, I pray, go among us…”

Grace of God is real and abundant in our generation through Jesus Christ as written in the book of John chapter 1 verse 17: “For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.”
Am happy we are not under the sacrificial law of the Old Testament. Grace of God is enough to save us through the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ on the cross. And His resurrection is the power that seals our salvation into eternal joy.

Since the fall of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, the power of sin dominated the heart of man. But, God chose to give us a permanent deliverance from sins by releasing abundant grace to our generation.
Whosoever belief in the teachings of Jesus Christ will enjoy the grace of God. John chapter 3 verse 16 says: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” The grace of God is the ticket you need to embark on the holy journey to heaven.

What are those things the Grace in Christianity can’t do?

1. Grace of God is not a license to live like the worldly people.
Romans chapter 6 verse 1 and 2 says: “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?”
2. Grace of God does not stop you from obeying the instructions of Jesus Christ in the Bible.
Jesus says in Matthew chapter 7 verse 21: “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.”
3. Grace of God is not a Robot
I always felt uncomfortable when some ‘Christians’ told me that they were praying for the grace of God to take away the hard-to-leave sins in their lives. Unfortunately, I discovered that the hard-to-leave sins are worldly actions they love to do.
Don’t give the excuse of lack of grace for your continuation in sinful practices. You might be sitting on a gun powder! Romans chapter 6 verses 14 and 15 say: “For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace. What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not!”

The grace of God will save you from eternal condemnation if you surrender your life to Jesus.
Grace of God is the favor you receive from God to find it possible to live a sinless life. Grace of God cannot control your choice of living, because God respects your power of choice in life.

Please, I want you to run away from any teaching that abuses the grace of God. The grace of God in you does not give you the access to live a lawless and careless life.
Bible says we are no more under the law but grace. Yes! The Bible is referring to the customary and sacrificial laws of the Old Testament. Grace of God does not exempt you from obeying the instructions of Jesus in the New Testament.
The grace of God is available for everyone on earth. If you want to enjoy the grace of God forever, then give your body, soul and spirit to Jesus. Read the Bible daily, and practice the Word of God. Put your faith in Jesus Christ, and the grace of God will save you forever.

What is the Reality of Eternal Security?

What is the Reality of Eternal Security?

Eternal security is referred to as a long-lasting enjoyment in heaven, but I was shocked when I heard some pastors’ definition of eternal security as the freedom to do anything in this world as long as you confess Jesus as Lord and Savior. The preaching of these false teachers implies that you can simultaneously be a Christian and a sinner to gain heaven. What a contradictory expression!!
The pattern of God’s salvation in the Old Testament involved a lot of ceremonial and sacrificial laws which were referred to as ‘works’ in the New Testament. But, the pattern of God’s salvation in the New Testament involved the supreme sacrifice of Jesus Christ. And eternal security is a guarantee for anyone who believes in His teachings and power of resurrection.

Repentance is the Key that Opens the Door to Eternal Security

The purpose of Jesus on earth is to secure our eternal life, and that is the essence of His first preaching in Mark chapter one verse 14 and 15, “Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.”

Repentance is an act of changing one’s lifestyle from committing sins to living a holy life. The salvation of Jesus for your life is free, thus the only need is your readiness to believe and live by His principle of holiness.
The false teachers of our generation said that you will get eternal security if you accept Jesus as your savior, and you are free to do anything you like in the world, but such teachings are wrong and misleading. If Jesus wants us to live our lives anyhow, He would not spend His whole life moving from one place to another to teach the principle of holy lifestyle.

The Lord is patiently waiting for sinners to repent, because repentance is the only way to enjoy the eternal security according to the book of 2 Peter chapter 3 verses 9, “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is long-suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.”

You do not need to work for your salvation, because Jesus had done all the works on the cross. So, sin and death would not have power over you when you genuinely surrender your total life to Jesus. You are saved when you repent from sinful lifestyles to holy lifestyles described by Jesus in the book of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.
Jesus says in the book of Luke chapter 15 verses 7:” I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.” Your holy lifestyle in the salvation of Jesus Christ through His power and grace is the only reality of your eternal security to heaven.

Can a Christian Lose His Salvation?

Yes!! You lose your salvation when you go back to sinful lifestyle. Hebrew chapter 10 verse 26 and 27 says, “For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries.’’ There is no eternal security for disobedient ‘Christians’.
No sinner will dwell with God in heaven, so do not be deceived by the famous false preachers who spread the wrong teachings of eternal security. The salvation of Jesus Christ is available to people whose humble hearts are filled with repentance. The book of 1Peter chapter 4 verses 18 says: “Now if the righteous one is scarcely saved, where will the ungodly and the sinner appear?”
The salvation of Jesus will not act as an eternal security to the active sinners in the church who chose to be lukewarm Christians. God’s judgment in the book of Revelation chapter 3 verse 15 and 16 says: ’’ I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.’’

Be careful of not being trapped into the false teachings of eternal security.

5 Key Roles of Jesus for Your Salvation

5 Key Roles of Jesus for Your Salvation

The role of Jesus in the salvation of humanity is to rescue us from the hot judgment of God. He wants us to live a holy life so that we can enjoy heaven. The salvation of Jesus does not involve filling a registration form or standing before a screening committee. In fact, the salvation of Jesus for your life has nothing to do with your tribe and skin color.

You do not need any certificate to enjoy the salvation of Jesus Christ, but the only need you must fulfill to enjoy the salvation of Jesus is to give your total life to God. When you give your complete life to Jesus, He plays the major role to secure your life into an eternal rest. Permit me to share some roles of Jesus for your salvation which you can’t afford to miss;

1. He Gives You Understanding about the Significance of God

Some people were confused about the existence of life in a bigger picture, and devil manipulated their unstable mind to lure them into atheism. Since the fall of humanity in the beautiful Garden of Eden, God had a plan to restore our souls to eternal joy, and He fulfilled the salvation through the pure sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

Listen to Jesus in John chapter 10, verses 17 and 18,”Therefore, My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again. ”No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father.” (NKJV)
Reading more about Jesus in the Bible is the only way to clear whatever confusion that clouds your mind.

2. Jesus Delivers You from a Troubled Mind

The role of Jesus for the salvation of everyone who believes in Him is to deliver them from every trouble of life through the use of His divine power. The presence of the devil on earth marks the beginning of problems for humanity according to the book of Revelation chapter 12, verse 7 to 12, “And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer.

So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.”

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. “Therefore rejoice O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time.” (NKJV)

However, Jesus is ready to give you solutions to any problem that comes your way. He says in Matthew chapter 11 and verse 28, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Many years ago, I had a serious peptic ulcer and everything about my life was crashing right before me.

I spent a fortune to the doctors, and yet the pains grew worst. One day, Jesus spoke to me through the Bible in John chapter 16 and verse 24, “Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full”. I went on my knee in the bedroom and solemnly cry to the Lord to heal my stomach, and that day marked the last time I was troubled by the ailment. The salvation of Jesus was established in my life.
Jesus says in the second part of John chapter 16 verses 33b, “In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

3. The Salvation of Jesus Makes You Extraordinary

The power of Jesus is so enormous, and He is ready to share with you. Record showed the miraculous power of Jesus in the ancient generations, and the believers of this generation cannot stop counting the extraordinary encounter they’ve had with Jesus. He is not a miser anyway! His power of salvation is available for every obedient person.

If you want an extraordinary performance in your life, then the secret is revealed in John chapter 14 verses 12 and 13, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. “And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.”

4. Jesus Gives Power to Deal with Satan

Satan had no rest, moving from one place to another to torment the people who do not have the salvation of Jesus. Satan and his demons was the author of all unfortunate circumstances of life, but thank God for the role of Jesus for the salvation of our lives.

His sacrifice on the cross, shedding His blood to clean our sins and His resurrection from death gave us the authority to deal with Satan. No more nightmares, no more spiritual attacks, no more depression, no more failure and no more afflictions.

I want you to belief that Satan is real; I had a terrible encounter with him. He accused me of preaching the gospel of Jesus and after some moment of fierce battle, I defeated him by the name of Jesus. The word written in Philippians chapter 2 verse 10 is true, “that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth.”

5. He Builds Your Peaceful Home in Heaven

This is not a joke! Your continuous obedience to the word of God through the salvation of our Lord Jesus Christ will yield the reward of a beautiful mansion in heaven. Jesus says in the book of John chapter 14, verses 2 and 3, “In My Father’s houses are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.”

The role of Jesus for your salvation is to make sure that you have a place to live in heaven forever. Since Jesus is playing His role, then your role is to love Him, obey His instructions in the Bible and live a holy life to the end.
