The Book of Life in the Bible: How to Ensure Your Name is Written

The Book of Life in the Bible: How to Ensure Your Name is Written

The Book of Life in the Bible is a special record that contains the identities of people that will dwell with GOD into eternity. The peculiarity of this Book is that the angels or Jesus Christ cannot have access to it except the LORD.

I would love to share a vision the LORD revealed to me that buttresses the fact that the Book of Life in the Bible is real.

“I found myself in a very massive beautiful courtyard which has the throne of the Judge in the centre and there is an exit route by the right and left side of the throne.

The courtroom is quiet and the fear of GOD is all over and the peaceful air in the massive room cannot be compared to that of the earth. Everyone is in a single queue and massive number of dead souls keep joining every second.

Everyone moves forward to the Judge and in less than a blink of an eye the judgement was done. I noticed so many souls pass through the left exit and very scanty souls pass through the right exit.”

The Book of Life in the Bible is a highly intelligent record that your brain can’t comprehend the details so don’t be deceived by religions such as Jehovah witness and other preachers who deceive people that GOD won’t have the luxury of time to judge everyone that exists on earth.

7 Verses About the Book of Life in the Bible

1. “And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.” (Revelation 20:12)

2. “…Ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him. The court was seated, and the books were opened.” (Daniel 7:10)

3. “He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.” (Revelation 3:5)

4. “The beast that you saw was, and is not, and will ascend out of the bottomless pit and go to perdition. And those who dwell on the earth will marvel, whose names are not written in the Book of Life from the foundation of the world, when they see the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.” (Revelation 17:8)

5. “All who dwell on the earth will worship him (beast), whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” (Revelation 13:8)

6. “But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.” (Revelation 21:27)

7. “Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.” (Luke 10:20)

How Your Name Can be Written in the Book of Life

The following points are true because I am a living witness of the Salvation of the LORD:

1. Self-Realization: Sit down and tell yourself the truth that you need to abandon worldliness, sins and things of the devil. Manifest your power of choice to follow Jesus Christ.

2. Study the Bible: Read the instructions of the LORD and not the church doctrines. This will open your eyes to see your mistakes, sins and wrong doings.

3. Genuine Repentance: Accept Jesus Christ as your Saviour. Confess all your sins and stay away from them. Obey the instructions of Jesus Christ in the Bible daily. Don’t be a lukewarm Christian.

4. Fellowship with the LORD: Don’t care about the church politics that can hurt you but spend ample time in your privacy with the LORD by praising, worshiping and praying to HIM in spirit and truth.

5. Pass the Test: GOD cannot be cheated. Don’t serve HIM because of the things you want to get from HIM.

I, the LORD, search the heart, I test the mind, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings.” (Jeremiah 17:10)

GOD cannot be enticed so don’t listen to those church leaders who tell you to bring all your money to them. Your spiritual fruit is the determining factor.

Can a Name Be Erased from the Book of Life?

Book of Life in the Bible is mentioned as a record of all those who will inherit eternal life. However, it is also mentioned that a person’s name can be removed from the Book of Life if they have sinned against God.

And the LORD said to Moses, “Whoever has sinned against Me, I will blot him out of My book.” (Exodus 32:33)

So, don’t be deceived by doctrine of eternal security. If you accept Jesus Christ as your saviour and you keep committing sins deliberately then your name can’t be written in the Book of Life.

Anyone whose name is not in the Book of Life shall be cast into lake of fire for eternal punishment. Please I appeal to you to give your life to Jesus Christ and live a ‘hot’ Christian life through the counsel of the Holy Spirit.

The level of abomination in the world and the church is very high this is not an excuse for you to live a lukewarm lifestyle. Stay firm in GOD’s Holiness!

7 Deadly Sins: How Christians Can Avoid the Mess!

7 Deadly Sins: How Christians Can Avoid the Mess!

The seven deadly sins are set of behaviours that are considered to be particularly harmful to your spiritual and moral well-being with the LORD. In this sermon, I will explore each of the seven deadly sins and provide tips on how to avoid falling into the traps.

Proverbs chapter 6 verse 16 to 19 says:

“These six things the LORD hates, yes, seven are an abomination to Him:

A proud look, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood.

A heart that devises wicked plans, feet that are swift in running to evil.

A false witness who speaks lies, and one who sows discord among brethren.”

Why Are They Called “Deadly Sins”?

The seven deadly sins, also referred to as capital sins or cardinal sins, are believed to be the foundation of all other sins. These transgressions are considered to be the most dangerous to our spiritual growth and can lead to committing other immoral acts.

The seven deadly sins include pride, greed, lust, envy, gluttony, wrath, and sloth, and committing any of these sins can ultimately lead to the destruction of the soul.

The concept of the seven deadly sins has been around for centuries, with roots in early Christian theology. These sins are considered “deadly” because they can lead to spiritual death, separating us from our connection to God.

According to theologian Evagrius, our purpose as spiritual beings is to seek union with God, but indulging in these sins can sever that connection and prevent us from experiencing divine grace.

How to Overcome the 7 Deadly Sins

1. Pride: Practice Humility and Acknowledge Your Limitations

Pride is often considered the most dangerous of the seven deadly sins, as it can lead to arrogance, selfishness, and a lack of empathy for others. To avoid falling into the deadly sins of pride, it’s important to practice humility and acknowledge your limitations.

Recognize the fact that you don’t know everything and that you can learn from others. Be open to feedback and constructive criticism, and strive to be a team player rather than always seeking the spotlight. By practicing humility, the Holy Spirit will be your Counsellor and you can build stronger relationships with those around you.

2. Envy: Focus on Your Own Goals and Accomplishments instead of comparing yourself to others

Envy can make you have a lying tongue, leading to feelings of resentment and bitterness towards others. To avoid falling into the deadly sins of envy, it’s important to focus on your own spiritual and physical goals and accomplishments instead of constantly comparing yourself to others.

Remember that everyone has their own unique journey and path in life, and that success looks different for everyone. Instead of feeling envious of other faithful Christians, use their success as inspiration and motivation to work towards your goals.

Always praise GOD for your accomplishments and being happy about your progress, rather than constantly seeking validation from believers or unbelievers. By focusing on the power of Jesus Christ as you progress on your journey and spiritual growth, you can avoid the negative effects of envy and cultivate a more positive and fulfilling life.

3. Wrath: Learn to Manage Your Anger and Communicate Effectively

Anger is a natural emotion that everyone experiences from time to time, but when it becomes uncontrollable and destructive, it can lead to serious problems, such as shedding innocent blood.

To avoid falling into the deadly sins of wrath, it’s important to learn how to manage your anger and communicate effectively with others. This means taking a step back and assessing the situation before reacting, listening to the response of the Spirit of the LORD in you, and expressing your feelings in a calm and respectful manner.

It’s also important to listen actively to others and try to understand their perspective, rather than immediately becoming defensive or aggressive. By learning to manage your anger and communicate effectively, you can avoid damaging relationships and cultivate more positive and productive interactions with others.

4. Greed: Cultivate Generosity and Gratitude.

Greed is the desire for more and more material possessions, often at the expense of others. To avoid falling into the deadly sins of greed, it’s important to cultivate generosity and gratitude.

This means focusing on what you have, rather than what you lack, and being willing to share your resources with others. You can also practice gratitude by regularly reflecting on the things in your life that you are thankful for.

5. Gluttony: Practice Moderation in all Areas of Your Life.

Gluttony is the excessive consumption of food, drink, drugs or other substances. To avoid the deadly sins of gluttony, it’s important to practice moderation in all areas of your life.

This means not only watching what you eat and drink, but also being mindful of how much time and energy you devote to other activities. It’s okay to indulge in your favourite foods or activities occasionally, but it’s important to maintain balance and not let them consume your life.

By practicing moderation, you can avoid the negative consequences of gluttony and live a healthier, more balanced life.

6. Sloth: Live a Life of Work Plus Faith in the LORD

One of the seven deadly sins is sloth, which is characterized as spiritual laziness, and a tendency towards inactivity, frivolity and neglecting to do good, such as a heart that devises wicked plans. Lazy people won’t hesitate to bear false witness and they are experts in the act of lies.

You can overcome slothfulness by reading the bible daily, practicing the commandments of the LORD, getting your hands busy and be a faithful Christian.

7. Lust: Always be Conscious of the Presence of GOD in You

Lust is a deadly sin I have suffered from in the past but I am glad the Spirit of the LORD set me free. Unclean sexual desires can destroy you physically, emotionally and spiritually. Lust is a strong weapon of the Devil to crush people to hell!

The best step that gives me victory which can also work for you is to set your mind to have the consciousness that your body belongs to the LORD. Whenever lustful thought fills your heart don’t give-in but ask yourself; what will Jesus Christ do in this situation?

So, always obey the commandment that tells you to flee from temptation. Take your eyes away from seduction and always remember that the Blood of Jesus Christ is so powerful to wash your dirty mind.

First Corinthians chapter 6 verses 18 and 19 says: “Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?

Finally, the LORD can forgive you any of the seven deadly sins above. HE told me to go and preach to the world that whosoever is ready to follow His will shall be forgiven no matter how big the sins committed. And the LORD says: “Peace and Mercy will be with those that obey the rules…the rules of holiness!”

False Preachers in Church: 7 Dangers You Need to Know!

False Preachers in Church: 7 Dangers You Need to Know!

Unfortunately, there are some pastors who use the Gospel of Jesus Christ as a means to manipulate and deceive Christians. False preachers in church are particularly dangerous in our generation because they use their position of authority to spread harmful teachings and take advantage of vulnerable individuals.

In this article, I will explore some warning signs to look out for and provide tips on how to protect yourself from the influence of the false preachers in church today.

Who are False Preachers and Why are They Dangerous?

False preachers in the church are leaders who use religion as a means to manipulate and deceive others. They use their position of authority to spread harmful teachings and take advantage of vulnerable new Christian converts and the careless ones.

False teachers are dangerous because they often have large followers and are regarded as trusted men of God of high authority. So, it takes the mighty power of the LORD to convince their followers that the false teachings are misconception of the scriptures and bunch of lies.

The dangerous act of false preachers in church leads to:

1. Emotional manipulation

2. Financial exploitation

3. Blindfolded mind

4. Lukewarm Christians

5. Hypocrite

6. Backslide from the path of holiness and

7. Leading church members to the path of Hell

Our generation is so corrupt that if you don’t learn how to read and understand the Bible yourself in the presence of the LORD you can’t escape been deceived by the brilliant false preachers in church!

7 Major Ways to Recognize False Preachers in Church

1. Expert in Prophecies

I am not saying every prophecy is false but watch out, the false preachers in the church claim to have received divine revelation outside the scripture. And in reality, they are being commissioned and empowered by the Devil to mislead and disrupt the church.

For instance; False speaking in tongues is the order of the day in many churches today and miracles through demonic manipulations and materialism are uncountable.

All prophecies that you cannot find the root in the word of Jesus Christ should be discarded.

Jesus Christ warns that: “For false Christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.” (Matthew 24:24)

2. Good Teachers of Heresies

False preachers in the church can be dangerous and misleading, especially those who teach heresies that contradict essential Christian beliefs.

These false teachers, also known as heretics, may appear charismatic and knowledgeable, but their teachings can lead their followers astray from the truth.

But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction.” (2 Peter 2:1)

Some heretic teachings include:

1. Holy Trinity; God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

2. God doesn’t care about your dress or make-ups, He only cares about your faith in Jesus Christ.

3. God loves the LGBT so accept them into the church as members. Etc

4. “You cannot be free from sins… always recite psalms… pay money to pastor so he will pray and God can forgive you for daily sins committed…”

3. Excellent Prosperity Preachers

Wealth is good but it becomes a problem when all the interest of your pastor is the amount you contribute financially and cares less about the status of your salvation. Watch out for teachers who are majorly after how you will become rich so that you can bring big cash to church for a big prayer of blessings from him.

They don’t care seriously about your spiritual growth. False pastor will neither scold you for your sinful lifestyle nor instil spiritual discipline into you. They are just after the money you will donate.

I have been to churches where the pastors determine the number of prayer points by the amount you come forward to drop at the altar.

These false preachers, also known as charlatans. They twist the teachings of Jesus Christ and use their position of power to manipulate and exploit their followers for financial gain.

They have many estates, fleets of cars, aeroplanes and massive investments while the large population of their church members becomes poorer.

Thus says the Lord GOD: “Behold, I am against the shepherds, and I will require My flock at their hand; I will cause them to cease feeding the sheep, and the shepherds shall feed themselves no more; for I will deliver My flock from their mouths, that they may no longer be food for them.” (Ezekiel 34:10)

4. Smart at Division

False preachers in church can cause great harm by using false doctrine to divide and disrupt the congregation. These false pastors are often referred to as “The Divider” and their actions can lead to the separation of brothers and sisters in the church.

False teachers are the agents of division in the midst of Christians from the time of Apostle Peter till today. Why do we have many denominations? Jesus Christ did not expect us to have diverse church doctrines. He wants us to preach the Gospel worldwide.

Jesus Christ said to the first set of Christians: “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)

I feel sad when I hear the false preachers in church announce that the LORD told them to split from a church and to become the overseer of another new named church.”

Note: All pastors will tell you that the name of their churches are not in heaven. You can’t get to heaven and see Catholic, Presbyterian or Pentecostal churches.

All the Christian denominations are man-made caused by false preachers to divide the children of GOD.

5. They are Abusers

False prophets are involved in all forms of sexual abuse, lustful statements, adultery and abuse of power. It is always in the news how some church leaders molest and engage in sexual cults and other unscriptural and abominable acts.

Just run away from such leaders because they belong to the Devil.

6. Based on Speculations

False preachers in the church often fall into the trap of focusing on novelty and speculation rather than the steady doctrine of Scripture.

These false teachers prioritize their own ideas and interpretations over the bulk of the Bible’s content and emphasis. They become obsessed with trivial or novel matters, growing weary of the old truths.

False preachers in the church have been a problem throughout history. These individuals often twist the message of Scripture to fit their own agenda or to gain power and influence over their followers.

For instance, we’ve heard many of them fixing dates for the end time of the world which had repeatedly failed.

7. Tickles their Followers

False preachers in the church, also known as “The Tickler”, prioritize pleasing men over pleasing God. They seek popularity and praise from the world, and in order to maintain their followers’ respect, they only preach the parts of the Bible that are deemed acceptable.

This often means speaking only of happiness and avoiding topics such as sin and hell.

Throughout history, there have been false preachers who have used the church as a platform to spread their own agenda. They often have a charismatic personality and a large following, but their teachings lack substance and depth. I won’t mention names but by their fruits you shall know them.

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.” (2 Timothy 4:3-4)

How To Test and Discern False Preachers in Church

1. Test their Fruits

When it comes to identifying false preachers in church, you have to make use of the word of GOD and that of Jesus Christ written in the Bible as the standard on your checklist.

Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves… therefore by their fruits you will know them.” (Matthew 7:15-20)

Jesus Christ advises to look at the fruit of their lives, meaning their actions and behavior, as a way to discern their true intentions.

This includes examining their relationships, their treatment of others, and whether their teachings align with the core values of Christianity.

Jesus Christ warns us to be cautious of false preachers who may appear to be righteous but are actually deceitful and harmful. These false teachers may disguise themselves as kind and gentle, but their true intentions are to manipulate and exploit their followers.

It is important to pay attention to their actions and the impact they have on others. Just as a healthy tree produces good fruit, a true preacher will bring positivity and love into the lives of those they lead. However, a false preacher will only bring negativity and destruction.

2. Test their Doctrines

False preachers in the church are those who teach doctrines that contradict the teachings of Jesus Christ and the principles of godliness.

These false teachers are often arrogant and lack true understanding of the faith they claim to represent. It is vital for you to discern the truth and avoid being led astray by false teachings.

False preachers in church can be identified by measuring the doctrines they teach against the sound words of Jesus Christ.

All church doctrines that were not given through Jesus Christ are false. Invite the Holy Spirit into you and once you obey His voice then you are free from the bondage of man-made doctrines all over the Christendom.

False preachers in the church are dangerous agents of the Devil. They may appear to be holy men of God, but in reality, they are wolves in sheep’s clothing, spreading a twisted version of the true gospel. These false prophets are not always easy to spot, as they may use clever tactics to deceive and manipulate their followers.

One of the most common signs is a focus on material wealth and prosperity, rather than spiritual growth and development. False preachers may also use fear tactics to control their followers or make grandiose claims about their own abilities or connections to a higher power.

It is important to remain vigilant and to identify these preachers by their actions and the fruits of their ministry.

You are safe from danger if you only believe and act according to the word of the LORD in the Bible.

May the LORD save us from the destruction of the false preachers in Jesus’ name.

10 Commandments of God: A Guide to Living a Righteous Life

10 Commandments of God: A Guide to Living a Righteous Life

Discover the divine principles that guide a righteous life with the 10 Commandments of God. This guide will help you live a life of purpose and holiness.

The 10 Commandments of God are a set of divine principles that have guided Christians for centuries. I have discovered that the commandments provide a moral compass for living a righteous life and offer guidance on how to treat others and honour God. By following these commandments, you can have the right status in God’s presence.

Why did God give the Ten Commandments?

The Ten Commandments are a set of moral and religious laws given by God to the ancient nation of Israel as part of the Mosaic Law. This Law code included over 600 commandments and formed a covenant between God and the Israelites.

The Law was intended to guide the Israelites in their daily lives and prepare them for the coming of the promised Messiah, or Christ. While God promised prosperity to those who obeyed the laws, its ultimate purpose was to lead the Israelites to salvation through faith in Christ.

Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfil.” (Matthew 5:17)

Is the Ten Commandments for Christians or the Jews?

The Ten Commandments were given by God to the Israelites. However, this law is embedded in the revised law Jesus Christ presented to us. This law includes all of Jesus’ teachings and instructions for his followers, as outlined in the New Testament.

“Please, don’t fall into the deceit of false preachers who said that you are not under the law so you can behave anyhow you want provided you are a Christian and donate to the church.”

Such false teachers misuse the statement of Paul in his letters. When Paul wrote to the Gentiles that they are not under the law, he meant they are no more under the mosaic laws related to sacrifices and cultural laws. Did you know that despite Paul’s preaching against the laws, he obeyed the same laws when he travelled back to Jerusalem? Acts chapter 21.

So, disobeying the ten commandments recorded in the book of Exodus chapter 20 is not a safe practice for anyone either Christians or Jews.

The Ten Commandments of God and their Significance

1. You shall have no other gods before Me

This commandment is the first and most important of the 10 Commandments of God. It reminds you that you should worship and honour only one God, and not put any other gods or idols before Him.

This means that you should not worship money, power, or material possessions above God. By putting God first in your life, you can find true fulfilment and purpose.

2. You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth

This commandment of God reminds me that I should not create or worship any physical representations of God or any other deity. It is a reminder that God is beyond human comprehension and cannot be fully represented by any physical object.

This commandment also warns against idolizing material possessions or putting too much importance on physical appearances. Instead, we should focus on cultivating a strong relationship with God and living a life of righteousness.

It’s so strange to me that Catholics exclude this second commandment and their doctrines contradict this God’s commandment.

3. You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain

This commandment reminds you to treat God’s name with respect and reverence. It is a reminder that God’s name is sacred and should not be used in a disrespectful or frivolous manner.

This includes using God’s name as a curse word or in a way that is meant to deceive or manipulate others. Instead, we should use God’s name in prayer, worship, and in a way that honours and glorifies Him.

4. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy

The fourth commandment of God instructs us to set aside the seventh day of the week as a day of rest and worship. This day is known as the Sabbath Saturday.

It is a time to focus on spiritual renewal, spending time with family and friends, and taking a break from the demands of work and daily life.

By honouring the Sabbath, we show our commitment to God and prioritize our spiritual well-being.

5. Honour your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the LORD your God is giving you

The fifth commandment is a reminder to honour and respect your parents. This includes not only biological parents but also those who have acted as parental figures in your lives.

By showing gratitude and respect towards your parents, you acknowledge the sacrifices they have made for you and the love they have shown you throughout your life. This commandment also teaches you the importance of family and the role it plays in shaping your life.

6. You shall not murder

God dislike killings related to abuse of power, envy or hatred. However, this commandment does not hinder you ‘dropping’ your enemies who wage war against you with deadly weapons. God supports ‘holy war’ (you can read about the journey of the Israelites to their promise land) but it is an abomination to the LORD when you kill an unarmed, innocent or helpless person.

7. You shall not commit adultery

This seventh commandment of God is meant to discourage infidelity and promote faithfulness in marriage and relationships. It is painful that this generation has no regards for this rule. Sexual sins amongst married couples are popular in the society leading to multitude of abominations in the land!

8. You shall not steal

This commandment of God is for you to respect the property and possessions of others and to refrain from taking what does not belong to you without permission.

9. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbour

This means that you should not lie or give false testimony about someone else, as it can harm their reputation and cause them unjust harm. It is important to always speak truthfully and with integrity, even when it may be difficult or uncomfortable.

10. You shall not covet your neighbour’s house; you shall not covet your neighbour’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbour’s.

Are the Ten Commandments of God useful for Christians today?

The Ten Commandments of God are considered to be a fundamental part of God’s teachings and are still relevant today. By studying them, you can gain insight into God’s thinking and benefit from the reliable principles they are based on.

These principles are timeless and can be found underlying the teachings of the New Testament as well. Therefore, it is important to understand and follow the commandments of God.

According to Jesus Christ, the most important commandments given by God are to love Him with all our heart, soul, and mind, and to love our neighbours as ourselves.

These two commandments are the foundation of the entire Mosaic Law, including the ten commandments. While Christians are not required to follow the Mosaic Law, we are still commanded to show love and compassion towards God and our fellow human beings.

I took the ten commandments of God seriously many years ago when I turned away from the devil to follow Jesus Christ and the obedience really strengthened my relationship with the LORD till today.

Are God’s Ten commandments tough to obey?

The commandments of God are not just a set of rules to follow, but a reflection of His goodness and love for you. By obeying these commandments, you show your devotion to Him and your willingness to live a life that honours His teachings.

It is not the commandments that are evil, but you can go astray due to your own power of choice you execute in every decision you make. Ultimately, it is through following God’s commandments that you can find true happiness and fulfilment in life.

I encourage you to obey the ten commandments of God and you will never regret doing so because your Christian lifestyle would be authentic!

10 Reasons Prayer Altar is Important for Spiritual Growth!

10 Reasons Prayer Altar is Important for Spiritual Growth!

Are you looking to deepen your spiritual Christian practice? A prayer altar can help. Learn about the importance of having a sacred space for prayer and reflection about things of the LORD.
