Jesus Himself demonstrated this principle when He overcame the devil’s temptations in the wilderness (Matthew 4:1-11). By responding with Scripture, He defeated Satan’s schemes, showing that the Word of God is a defense against evil attacks.

4. Abide in God’s Presence through Prayers/Thanksgiving

I remember when the devil came to attack me for exposing his secrets, I didn’t sit to negotiate with him, but I prayed to the Almighty GOD who rescued me. The level of spiritual protection you can receive through praising GOD can never be quantified!

A prayerless Christian is like an empty box that can be crushed easily by the enemies. Prayers keep you connected to the divine safety of the LORD.

5. You Must Obey God’s Commands Consistently

Disobedience can open doors to danger, but obedience will keep you under God’s covering.

“Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the LORD your God will set you high above all nations of the earth.” (It is interesting you read Deuteronomy chapter 28)

Obedience to the instructions of Jesus Christ is the key to divine security! An example is Noah’s obedience which preserved his family during the flood (Genesis 6:13-22).

6. Put on the Full Armor of GOD

To enjoy divine protection always put on the following armor: helmet of salvation, sword of the Spirit, shield of faith and breastplate of righteousness.

“Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” (Ephesians 6:11)

7. Acknowledge the Holy Spirit as Your Commander

The Holy Spirit guides and warns us of dangers, both seen and unseen. So, always be attentive to the voice of GOD when HE speaks to you.

Jesus says: “However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.” (John 16:13)

 

Follow the steps above and you will enjoy divine security from the LORD.
