Prayer Life: 20 Powerful Ways to have a Strong Life of Prayer!

Prayer life is a powerful style of communication to the Almighty GOD who makes you successful on earth. One of the secret plans of the Devil is to destroy the prayer life of Christians. A strong life of prayer frustrates satanic influences and takes authority from the devil.

Did you notice a weak prayer life? Or are you eager to know how to maintain a vibrant prayer life as a Christian? Today’s message will help you. I followed the practical steps mentioned in this article and my Christian life have been victorious, overcoming the devil through the power of the Almighty GOD.

7 Things that Can Destroy Christians’ Prayer Life

1. Unconfessed Sin: Sin creates a barrier between you and God. When you harbor unconfessed sin or take sin for granted, it can hinder your prayers.

Psalm 66 verse 18 says: “If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.”

2. Lack of Faith and Fear: These can destroy the effectiveness of your prayer life.

James chapter 1 verse 6 and 7 reminds us: “But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.”

3. Selfish Desires: Praying with selfish intentions without a grateful heart can hinder the efficiency of your prayer life.

James chapter 4 verse 3 states: “When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.”

4. Unforgiveness: Holding onto unforgiveness can block your prayers.

Jesus taught in Mark chapter 11 verse 25: “And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”

5. Poor Meditation of God’s Word: Ignoring regular Bible study can weaken your prayer life.

Proverbs chapter 28 verse 9 warns: “If anyone turns a deaf ear to my instruction, even their prayers are detestable.”

6. Distractions and Busyness: Allowing the busyness of life to take precedence over prayer can hinder your relationship with God. Jesus often withdrew to lonely places to pray (Luke 5:16), setting an example for us to follow.

7. Lack of Persistence: Giving up too soon in prayer can prevent you from experiencing God’s answers.

Jesus encouraged persistence in Luke chapter 18 verse 1: “Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.”

7 Dangers of a Weak Prayer Life for a Christian

You must take the points above seriously and quickly make a quick correction because the danger of a weak prayer life is unimaginable, very miserable and destructive!

Prayer is the lifeline that connects you to God not the popular materialism such as oil, candle, handkerchief etc. that is popular in many churches’ false doctrines. Here are seven dangers of a weak prayer life:
